WATCH: Giants GM Joe Schoen‘s FULL bye week presser

I like Joe Schoen, but I can't say I love this presser. I heard a lot of excuses, some of which sounded a bit silly. For example, when asked what went wrong with the O line construction this year, his response was "Andrew Thomas' injury." I mean that's not a good answer. I also didn't like the way he made it sound like the historically humiliating 40-0 home loss in the first game of the season was down to a couple things going wrong in the beginning of the game (as if that somehow justified all the many things that went wrong after that).

In my eyes, his comments on Daniel Jones have not in any way changed decreased the odds of them using a high pick on a QB in this offseason. If anything, his statement that we need to address the QB position in this offseason, including potentially in the draft, slightly augmented the chances for me.
