Agree with most said here about DS. If there is a reasonable $ number for a guy that still drops too many passes for my liking, go for it

Quote from: LennG on May 01, 2024, 03:44:11 PMIf the dc can find the right place for Simmons he could be a true game changer. He is more than a situation type player.

As I said when he was re-signed, finding the right place was a question leading up to the draft and five years later DCs continue the elusive search

Understand Esiason out too.

I can't remember the last time I watched any of the pregame shows, regardless of network

Asante transferred to Wyoming from Holy Cross.  He'll be competing with another former Patriot League rival, Dequece Carter who was invited to rookie minicamp.  Carter transferred to Indiana from Fordham. Having watched both for 4 years, I think Carter was the better WR (though I admit to being somewhat prejudiced  ;))

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 29, 2024, 11:47:37 AMI think Love was more of a leader than McKinney.  We always hear about McKinney's leadership, yet I have never witnessed any direct indication that McKinney was a true leader.

He wore a "C" so that must account for something

Quote from: EDjohnst1981 on April 29, 2024, 09:13:08 AMThank you my friend, it's beautiful and very different to the 5 degrees we left at home.

Thankfully my good lady was fine with watching the game this morning, but she did have a few too many Margaritas last night lol
I bet fans of the Predators had one too many as well!

Reads like the scouting report on Ford-Wheaton.  Every year every team invites guys like this

1 year $5m prove it deal.

The absence of big play makers over the last few years has been glaringly obvious. Hopefully we're turning the corner

Funny thing is the 49 ers used #3 on Solomon Thomas and traded both #s 67 and  111 (. #67 became Alvin Kamara).

In some ways this perfectly illustrates the absurdity of the discussions we sometimes engage in

Quote from: Jclayton92 on April 27, 2024, 03:49:01 PMIn the 5th round you are looking for intangibles or a player you can plug in that does 1 thing really well. KR/PR has been horrible for multiple years now and now that is probably solved.

Could be an interesting competition between Tracy and the kid Milller for the ST slot. If nothing else we're assured of more speed in camp

Hopefully they held onto the magnets

The scouting reports on DS coming out of Auburn raised concerns about his hands.  There was a reason why a guy with his speed lasted to the 5th rd.

I like him, seems like a decent guy, works hard, etc. But I wouldn't make him out to be more than what we've seen so far over the last 5 years. One of the many "okay " WRs who carve out careers as a #4 or #5   JMO
