Interesting strategy. Normally, after a first guess like yours that gives me one letter, my approach with the second guess is to go with something that has as many very common letters as possible, with the hope of setting myself up with an opportunity to get it on the third try. Maybe I need to change my thinking a little though, as the words continue to get more and more obscure these days.

This was a case where it would have been better to try to solve it after getting three letters instead of eliminating letters.
