Quote from: AZGiantFan on Today at 12:58:12 PMI would date it a little earlier than that.  I date it to Kevin Gilbride being made a scapegoat because Mara said the offense is broken. Gilbride developed Eli, as QB coach, and then as offensive coordinator led them to year after year of top ten offenses and 2 SB victories, despite some idiot fans calling him K*i*ll*drive*.  Then the offense had one bad year and they scapegoated him.  I think of the Giants' woes since then as the Gilbride curse.

* why won't the editor let me type the name he was called without changing it to Gillbride??
Don't even get me started on that one. You're talking to the the Regional President of the Kevin Gilbride fan club of North America. Still, Coughlin worked well with McAdoo who crashed and burned without his mentorship. McAdoo was not supported properly by Reese. He was too worried about his own job. In Reese We Trust? In a pigs eye.

The Front Porch / Walking
Last post by DaveBrown74 - Today at 04:31:30 PM
I know there have been exercise threads before, but I'm curious specifically about walking. Everyone knows how beneficial walking is, but plenty don't get enough. I have improved my walking total, but there is still room for improvement. 10,000 steps (the recommended daily amount) is approximately five miles. I'm curious if people here hit/exceed that total on a daily basis.

Mayim is smart, no doubt, but one celebrity with a scary high IQ is Goldie Hawn...who'da thunk it  :-??

Goldie was famous for her role playing a ditzy blonde...a role she hated, but it put food on the table. Her IQ is 148 and qualifies for the Mensa Society (must have IQ in top 2% of population).

Even smarter than Goldie, is another celebrity who played a ditzy blonde: Lisa Kudrow with an IQ of 154

Highest IQ measured of a person everyone knows: British comedian Rowan Atkinson (plays ditz "Mr. Bean" who has an IQ 178). That's higher than Einstein and Stephen Hawkings. Another genius is Dolph Lundren (played the boxer against Balboa in Rocky IV) who worked as a bouncer while earning degrees from Royal Institute of Technology (BS chemistry); University of Sydney (MS chemical Engineering); Washington State University (MS) and was working on his PhD at MIT when he quit school and chose acting for a career. His IQ is 165. Another guy who plays an idiot, but has a high IQ is Ken Jeong, who was a medical doctor before switching to comedy and acting. He has his degrees from Duke and the UNC School of Medicine, and practiced medicine for several years as a physician in Oakland, CA at a huge hospital (Kaiser Permanente)

Smart people hide among us...and some of them are getting rich by playing a ditz or playing a brute...or being a model or musician. Must be good money in getting celebrity status, lol

The Front Porch / Sean "Diddy" Combs video
Last post by DaveBrown74 - Today at 03:22:50 PM
I wasn't planning on watching this, because I knew it would be disturbing, but I finally did it anyway, and man was I right about the disturbing part. I hope this coward goes to prison for this, plus other terrible things he was allegedly involved in like human trafficking.

Violence towards women is never ok. Nor is seeing it in one's household as a kid an excuse, so I don't even want to hear that. While watching this footage is highly unpleasant, my hope is it will encourage other victims to take action against their abuser.

Fair enough, if that's his point of view but I think we've learned from last year not to glean anything from the pre-season, let alone OTAs and mini-camp.

But I'd have to meet them all to decide who I'm talking about... looks would be secondary.

If you find that difficult to believe, I don't blame you... but I'm serious.
