Many (myself included) questioned WanDale pick in 2nd round.  Saw some bursts this year.  Hope it leads to breakthrough this upcoming season.

Jalin is a mystery.  Great hands in college and explosive vertically yet Giants rarely through to him.  Why?  Proper route running deficiency?  They have to get him way more involved so if he needs to be coached up somehow, please do it.

Nabers was highly productive in college.  Figure out his deficiencies and solve them so he is day 1 ready.

Giants WRs are far from finished product.

More time to throw means more time for WRs to run down the field or for them to run and spread out down the field making it harder for teams to cover and opening up running game.  That would be extremely entertaining and fun to watch given our WRs.

What do we need to make that happen?  OL!!!

Sacks destroy the morale of an offense.  Gets players questioning each other.

Will he continue to be used effectively under a new DC and scheme?

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on June 01, 2024, 01:49:56 PMI fully expect the O line to improve this year. We have brought in multiple established veteran O linemen who have been solid for other teams. Our new O line coach ran a solid unit at another team. If our line doesn't at least improve to being mediocre this year, I will start to wonder if their seeming ineptitude is for other reasons.

I am already wondering that.  Wrong player for blocking scheme?  Player out of position or on wrong side of OL?

I simply dont know

OBJ's catch was with back arched so much he looked like he'd snap it.

I see no reason to be optimistic about the OL at this point.  They've had a revolving door of OL coaches, lots of draft picks, etc and it has failed to produce an average OL much less a good one.  Until they succeed, I won't believe it.

If it's 2nd week of August and Giants still have not identified their starting 5 OL and are not giving the same 5 a ton of reps at each practice, Giants will be 8-9 or worse.  Giants OL will bring down the entire season.

Hope you are stronger JMS.  Strength and good technique are necessary.

Love that.  Players seem to respond to former players who were very good.

Said it before charges woukd be dripped.  Nice guy who may have made a small mistake that did not rise to level of crime and a city realizing the public relations nightmare that would follow if they went forward on subpar evidence.  Would have looked vindictive and not smart.

Quote from: MightyGiants on May 30, 2024, 10:03:15 AMIt's a website/service founded by "the football doc," the former physician of the Chargers.   They do medical assessments on players with an eye toward servicing gamblers and fantasy football players (I think they do other sports as well).   I consider it a qualified opinion (where teams tend to be more tight-lipped) but with the limitation that they don't have access to the player's medical records or test results.

How do they do a medical assessment without medical reports or being able to examine him after practices to see if there is swelling or asking DJ questions?

Who will be MVP or who must be are two very different questions in my mind.  Who will be can be several.  Who must be for the Giants to have success has to be DJ.

I dont want the Giants to go back to the 2022 offensive passing style. Get me some Kevin Gilbride.
