G-Girl...you can count me in! Then again, as I am your brother-in-law, I guess I couldve just called you to tell you that. I'll be making my traditional "crack of dawn" departure from New Hampshire to be in Albany just in time for some coffee and a walk through the Dutch Quad to catch the morning practice. So this year, I'll bring some stuff that I can readily toss in the back of the truck, like a couple bags of charcoal and lighter fluid.  I'll also bring some condiments...ketchup, mustard, relish...I got it.

I've been away from the board for a few days, and come to find this. What terrible news. My prayers go out to his wife and family. We've lost a number of good men here over the years, and Evan now joins them in our pantheon of friends. May God bless him and welcome him.

We've been burned before, but we've only been so when blindly rushing into a bad situation with little forethought. Rich and the the other mods have created something here that we all value, and nothing has ever been done since the inception of this website that did not involve forethought and deep consideration. It's yet another one of the things that makes this site the only site I go to for discussion and news about the Giants. So if it has been thought out and deliberated on by the men who have put so much time and effort into this site and they deem it to be a good idea, my vote is Yes, as I have a great deal of respect for the guys who make it all happen here.

Count me in for a cooler full of adult beverages.  Sadly, it looks like my girlfriend will not be able to join me and my other family members for the gig in the park.  But I'll bring her share of bevvie contribution to the festivities anyway.

I got the personal invite from Rich. And I haven't gone back. after being a regular memberof  the BBWC in all its varied forms since Larry J and Adrienne started it up in the mid-90's, I left it in the rear view mirror when I came here and saw not only the kind of people I most respect and admire and the kind of talk that keeps me coming back every day.  We have have a circle of friends here that far exceeds anything that the BBWC ever had, with none of the "Trent", "Stonedinvestor", et al kind of sophomoric indecency and disrespect that we had to endure over there.

I also think that the careful and deliberate measures to grow the membership here have paid off; we have had so many new people join lately, but the talk has been enhanced by their arrivals, and I personally believe that we are a better community with their input.  Too much or too sudden growth will detract from that and let the jerks filter back in.
