From what I have heard, Bowen prefers to try and generate his pressure from his front four, while Wink likes to generate it via blitzes and extra rushers.   So in theory we should see more production from the D-line and edge players

Carolina had serious puck luck last night in the carom right onto a stick for the 4th goal, and 8 seconds later a very strange bounce off the boards for a tap in. Hope that's their quota. The Rangers are the better team. Now that does not mean they will definitely win the series. Carolina plays at one level pretty much at all times. High level mind you, but I feel, and have seen the Rangers play above that level. NO MISTAKES IN CLEARING YOUR ZONE!!! This is the imperative. Wouldn't it be nice if Lavy can enjoy victories over former coached teams on the way.........to.........

Quote from: MightyGiants on Today at 02:17:19 PMI think Boogie might be a better fit in Bowen's defense in the 3-4 DE role.  Wink tended to sub out his DEs (for an edge, second DT, or another DB).  It's possible Boogie could be the DE (with Thibs or Burns being the other DE) and on obvious passing downs you have Burns and Thibs as the DEs

I'm not very familiar with our new defensive system but my question is knowing what you know of it, do you think Boogie will be a good fit or a surprise this year?

How would agents view Schoen if he tried to force a renegotiation of an injury guarantee?   While I have seen players be asked to take pay cuts or be cut, I have not witnessed a team try to renegotiate a guarantee.  There seems to be an unwritten rule (I am not fully versed; it might even be a written rule) that guarantees money in contracts.

Do you think that might hurt Schoen in future contract negotiations?

You view sitting him after an injury as forcing him to renegotiate his injury clause? That would be up to him and his Agent to bring that up.

I'm going a little conspiracy theory on this take...

Because of the tension between Daboll and Wink, maybe Wink didn't want to play any more of Daboll's 'guys' from Buffalo.

The incomplete for Ojulari is too generous. I think we've seen enough of him to know what he is. He's played more games than Aaron Robinson, Elerson Smith, and Rodarius Williams combined. Thankfully they have Brian Burns now.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on Today at 10:46:49 AMI think the organization would be negligent if they see he is still seeing ghosts to allow him back out there to run into defensive linemen. Yes all of his sacks aren't on him but he didn't help the situation either.

I would be perfectly content with them wrapping him in bubble wrap and placing him at the end of the bench. Then telling him if he wants to play he's welcome to waive the injury clause, if not enjoy your   🍿.
Playing is in his best interest. It's his opportunity to retain his position with the Giants or to audition for his next team by way of trade or cut. That's a good reason to waive or renegotiate that injury clause. That clause should have had a reduction built into it over the life of the contract. It should be reduced by 25% entering year two.

It's possible that if he pulls a Hammy, they may shut him down after that. It happens where an injury to the leg and coming back from rehab, another part of that leg suffers injury. The worst being an Achilles.

It would behoove all concerned to keep him in the pocket and have Eli teach him how to drop dead if he's about to get tackled.

I remember a lot of people excited about Elerson Smith
