I think its more the sort of popularity that attracts modern audiences to auto-tuned techo pop garbage instead of Beethoven, Led Zeppelin,and Charlie Parker. It's mostly just background noise that folks gather around in groups and sift though on their devices, but don't really invest in very deeply.

Please explain how the NFL of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s cared more about the players than the NFL of today. How did the fans back then care more? Do you think someone like Mike Webster's family would agree with you?

I'm of the opinion that in this day and age, we should be evolved enough as a community, particularly given all the resources available, to care now.
