2022 DJ has a concussion; Taylor is called into the game and can't make it to the end without being injured.
2023 DJ is out; Taylor doesn't make it three games before getting hurt.
Tyrod is 34 years old. Would a team even sign him as a backup at this point?
Rich: Taylor was just plain unlucky to have incurred such an injury.
As an "old man" in football years with plenty of NFL experience involving several teams, he should have known better than to come to "Injury-Central" at his age. /sarcasm/
I just hope he's ok. Until yesterday I didn't know he had suffered a previous unlucky event during a prior hospital stay. I never liked his game much, even in college where he was successful, but once he became a Giant... I didn't like Y. A. Tittle much either while he was on his first two teams. =))

Simply put: what is a backup qb good for if he ain't there when you need him the most?

Exactly! The only thing worse than an injury-prone starter is an injury-prone backup, especially at a critical position like QB.
