The pressure is off the Giants. They will play fast and loose
The Eagles are vulnerable.
I think Tommy DeVito will finish the season strong. The Oline will not have a revelation but they will stiffen up enough for DeVito to hit his targets. Our Tight ends will play their best game of the season.
Kafka has heard the calls for his head. He will call a good game
Daboll only used Barkley for 35% of the snaps last week (that foretold a lot about Barkley's future). Matt Brieda will have a big game and I think Brightwell will get his carries and do very well.
We will turn the turnover machine back on
Lets hope so. Christmas Day will go out with a bang and a shocker. We need something to cheer us up Santa.
The Eagles Dline is significantly better than the Saints plus they are coming off a loss. It'll be a feast for crows this weekend.

How can I get some of what you're smoking? :D
You need to have a lie down Blue Cross... I mean Cruz.
Cheers!
Third string QB. OL terrible. How?
yeah we are going to get thoroughly embarrassed. It would be a great christmas gift, but lets be real. it'll probably be a 30-3 game.
Last year Daboll's team played their best ball under no expectations. The confidence level of the Eagles is experiencing somewhat of a quagmire. I wouldn't be so quick to discount an upset. I actually agree that Daboll may take the handcuffs off of Tommy D. and let him take some chances. The key would be to come out swinging Iron Mike style. No predictions, just keeping an open mind. Looking for that breakout game for Jalin Hyatt.

Perchance to dream...

ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That make calamity of so long life

Game 1 vs. the Iggles will not be pretty....think Dallas Week 1
Game 2 will depend on if the Iggles need the win.
Neither game worries me. What worries me and prbably will till I see changes is the offensive braintrust (Daboll and Kafka) will not have any semblance of a game plan tailored to Touchdown Tommy for any kind of success.
One is a prime example of the Peter Principle I fear.....and the other I have a feeling is limited, stifled and lives in a state of confusion because of the HC.
Add in ownership which is wary (actually paralyzed) of firing another 2 year HC mistake. I don't blame ownership for the mistake in hiring (educated crapshoot), just not pulling the thorn out for an idiotic reason.
We will lose out and it will not be pretty.

Hey you have to admit I called the loss to the Saints
I have an even stronger feeling we will beat the Eagles and it wont be close.
Also I dont wish injury on anyone but I dont think Jalen Hurts finishes this game
Pinnock or Ojalari moght send him to the blue tent Im afraid

I wasn't going to say anything after the third or fourth time, but you keep boasting about this over and over like it was some amazing call. The Giants were a 5.5 or 6 point underdog in this game. The vast majority of the betting public thought we'd lose. I'm not sure why you keep taking bows for agreeing with the majority like it was some incredible show of foresight on your part. And even if you bizarrely think it was, bringing it up four or five times should be enough, no?

What can he say, he's the Babe Ruth of NY Giants losses lol.
Blues..
I wouldn't suggest anything but more futility in the House of Horrors for the Jints (haven't won there since 2013).
Philly would be in flames if they lost this one.

Yeah, Blue Fire, I mean Cruz, wants credit for picking a 6 point underdog loss...no xxxx. I guess he thought we all forgot he predicted a double-digit win season?

Well just call me Nostra-DAMN-us. I had a premonition of doom just before the Saints game and my fear was the Giants were going to come out FLAT. No one else here seemed to be seeing what I saw.
Not that others werent picking the Saints but who thought we would come out flat in a game where we could have seized our own destiny. Sad
Sad effort, worse coaching. Trap game. Coaches and Captains did not do their jobs
I have a premonition of DOOM again....its a strong strong feeling the Eagles are taking us lightly and we will light them up. It would be nice if Pinnock picks one off and dances along the goal area before scoring if he was old enough to recall that most embarassing moment in Giants history.
Payback time....our bus will be egged coming and going by drunken disappointed Birds fans

pretty sure that last minute premonition of Doom Sunday was you covering yourself after all that smoke you blew to anyone that would listen about Devito all last week.

Not really. I looked around the board and there was no mention of the Saints
I threorized the team might be looking past them too. It was obvious something was amiss

Bud, if we beat the Iggles twice I'm coming to you for lottery numbers.
I don't see it, I think we get our arses felt pretty handily in both games, but it'd make me giggle to send the horrible bar-stewards into the play offs with a whole bunch of doubt infecting them.
Time was, back in the day, predictions for a game were simply who would win and who would lose. From time to time a hearty [Ed.: Or foolish,] soul would predict by how much.
Now, we've got all manner of betting odds posted, probably including whether the field goal kicker will have to tie a shoelace before kicking the ball. It's tough for an old-timer like me to even figure out who's predicted to win a game amid the plethora of numbers.
That said, the Giants appear to be roughly 2 TD underdogs for this game. To this I say, "Go, Tommy Cutlets!"
Go flag-free, Big Blue!"
Quote from: BluesCruz on December 23, 2023, 11:54:00 AMI have an even stronger feeling we will beat the Eagles and it wont be close.
I'm excited for us to have a MASSIVE second half en route to a blowout win despite being down 20-3 at the half and looking utterly pathetic in the process.
I have a feeling winning those meaningless games set the franchise back a few more years.
We played well and but for few rotten ref calls we would likely have won
The Eagles are going nowhere
Hopefully we take them at home
The New Jersey Giants have nothing to feel ashamed about after losing to the Eagles. Were there weaknesses? Yup. But they're identifiable and fixable through coaching. Big Blue is on its way to becoming a solid, mid-level team. This old armchair observer's looking forward to the rest of the regular season games. Next year should see the Giants in the play-offs. There, who knows?
Go flag-free, Big Blue!
A Receiver slips for a pick 6 and the Eagles run into each other for a fumble. They gave the Giants 14 points. The Offense is pathetic.

That game was there for the taking. A disciplined team with smart coaching and smart players takes it.
We have neither.
Can't wait for this guy to start a thread that says he feels the Giants will win their last 2 games.

Come on man. Stop picking on the guy. Doesn't hurt to have a dreamer in the group with some enthusiasm. Yeah, he goes overboard but eventually he'll become just as bitter and jaded as the rest of the group think.

Hey Hey Hey
As for the prediction, but for the refs we were close to beating them
The nice part is we get another shot at them in the season finale
if we beat the Rams and win that one I will be officially 2 thirds correct
Either the Eagles are slipping or we are getting better but the game was close
Either PI call especially the rumble in the end zone would have likely tied the game

What about your prediction for Devito? The fact Daboll had to pull him so that we even had a chance is pretty telling of how bad the qb play was.
What is
@BluesCruz's crime here? He is the epitome of optimism. Yeah, his predictions are lofty. It's not against the rules.
Meanwhile, folks call him out for being wrong from their lofty, perfectly-built glass houses because all of their predictions have come true.
We're at the end of the season where very little has gone right for our team. Let the guy continue to be optimistic. It's the holidays... enjoy yourselves and don't take this GAME that millionaires get to play so seriously. :ok:

You could say a Usain Bolt of optimism lol.
His optimism doesn't bother me whatsoever, it's actually qyute comical. I just try to understand the logic behind some of the predictions and comments. Maybe that's my fault for even attempting to dive in that dumpster fire.

The defense made the game close not the giants playmakers or play calling
our offense is offensive and it starts with the coaches
Tommy was not the issue and if he had been in there for the 2 minute drill we might have tied them
Tyrod has issues with the last 2 minutes
why did he even throw the ball to Waller? He should have been tossing it to a WR along a sideline like Tommy did against the Packers
The bottom line: Sincerity is strictly optional. Whether or not interesting, it does seem worth remembering.
Cheers!
