He'll get hurt and TD Tommy will go back in. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Thats fair, he earned it in the most hostile of environments
Hopefully, each guy gets a half
Daboll wants to win, and I applaud that

I really doubt they do this as a pre-set plan. If DeVito plays in the second half, it would either be because Taylor gets injured or because he is so unbelievably bad that they decide to pull him due to unexpectedly terrible performance.
Evan Neal was placed on Season ending IR.

Did his season ever begin? What a reclamation project for the next OL coach. :hurt: Bust isn't strong enough a term. :'(

This team needs to be placed on season-ending IR =))

In a couple of weeks, it will be.
I think Tommy's agent still can get a signing event for his client at Chuckie Cheese.
:greetings:
Idiotic.
Glad we found out everything about Tommy to help secure our future direction at a position featuring a draft bust, a 15 year career retread, and another soon to be potential bust.
No wonder we suck....and we do suck.
Just think....
This offseason we could have given the Ravens 2 1st round picks for Lamar Jackson and given him the Jones money plus obviously more.
He's on pace for 4000 yards passing and a 1000 yards rushing.
Now now, we will have NONE of that out of the box logical thinking around here in this flagship organization.
We will be much better off with another ACC phenom QB.

That was never happening. The Ravens would have matched it. Plus it would have happened after Jones was resigned.

I dont understand how starting and playing Tyrod Taylor is going to help us move forward
It seems like a personal deal between a couple of former Buffalo Bills
UNLESS there is a plan to move Jones and his contract and the team needs a vet like Taylor on the roster to start next year
Otherwise we are helping Tyrod polish his resume as we are really nice guys
I personally do not see Tyrod as a big uptick from DeVito. Quite the contrary Tyrod has issues in the last 2 minutes of close game
He is a bit quicker afoot than Tommy but not by much
Sidefact- Did you know Tom Landry used to substitute Dandy Don Meredith and Eddie LeBaron on every play? It worked very well so dont tell me our 2 backups cannot share a half each. Also dispelling the size myth LeBaron was quite effective at 5 foot nine inches. Landry did this so he Landry could call every play
Oh well, Onward!!

How has DeVito played in his last six quarters? How do those six quarters compare with what Tyrod did in relief of DeVito in the last game in the second half?
Right now, the coaches believe Tyrod gives them the better chance to win the next game than DeVito. It's as simple as that.

if it were only that simple. We are building for the future evaluating a 15 yr veteran to see if there is any rubber tread left on his tires. This is par for the Giants course, people eternally concentrating on the present and kicking the can on the future.
Remember this is the same team that went an eternity earlier this year waiting for a TD or two.
Tyrod threw one TD pass to a wide open Slayton. The turnaround was engineered by our defense
Was DeVito going cold- sure. But the play calling all year in the 1st halves has been "WoodyHayes" conservative- hand it to Barkley and throw the horizontal pass to someone behind the LOS
Of course, it's Tyrod time. He's more talented and capable than DeVito, who we will likely only see taking snaps in one, or the other, or both of the final two games if Ty gets dinged out, or because with his current 2-year deal at its end, there is- and hopefully not- anything like an added lose/lose incentive re the Draft.
In any case, I can't see much to be gained from speculating about when, where, and whether either or both may be playing next season.
Cheers!
