I listened to that this morning. Bobby was fired up against Wink
I`m 100 percent on board with Skinner's assessment of Wink.
No lies detected =D> =D>
Sounds like drama in Giants land. I don't want to hear of employee hissy fits. The Giants don't need any more turmoil with a 6-11 2023 suck record. I hope this Wink issue gets rectified soon. Wink moves on and we start interviewing DCs ASAP.
I really agree with most of this. All the squawking and leaks during the season have been pro-Wink and, now in retrospect, clearly from his camp. Daboll has, to my knowledge, never thrown Wink under the bus publicly. And I've also never seen any "oh, Wink is a malcontent" which would've been leaked by Daboll's camp. To me, Wink is the politician here while Daboll has been pretty upstanding. Final nail in the coffin to me is reports of Wink "resigning" (clearly from him) but not actually resigning because he wants to be fired and collect his paycheck.
With all this in mind, Wink's departures from the Ravens and now the Giants reflect more on him than those organizations.
Bravo, N.Y. is tough it's all about winning. Daboll will feel the pressure as he should, but screw the drama.
Does Dabs get the game ball back? /sarcasm/

I don't see Martindale having any reasonable explanations for his actions.
Good riddance. His defenses were nowhere good enough to tolerate his diva act. No wonder why Harbaugh got rid of him as quickly as possible. The troubling part for me is that he thought his relationship was so good with Mara that he could undermine Daboll without consequences. Either he's delusional or Mara needs to stay the hell way from the team. That sort of nonsense doesn't happen with healthy franchises.
And, another.

Spot on. The HC is the boss, and no other coach or coordinator can think they can be insubordinate and conduct insidious covert operations that undermines the leader of the team. Daboll went out of his way to make this work and Wink's ego was just too big for both of them.
As I've said several times, when Daboll stepped in and Coached Wink, we saw a much more Multiple Defense take hold. Unfortunately, Wink motivated his players at the expense of vilifying Daboll and the Offense which in turn is a slap in the face of the rest of the players in the locker room.
Somewhere in all this there had to be players who held this team together because they didn't quit on Daboll and they didn't quit on each other.
I agree with BS, in who the hell is going to want to work with this guy. There's lots more to come I'm sure and Wink will have his say and Daboll will just move on. As he should.
Bono to Bozo? Well, who's sporting the clown nose now... and btw, what a stupid fucking comment to make about your HC who turned that team around. It empowered the attempted Coup d'état, and fed a massive ego. "I report to the owner" Really? Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

It definitely speaks volumes that the team didn't quit on him. No locker room division no matter how much Wink talked xxxx about Daboll and the offense.
So why did they not just suspend Wink for insubordination during the season and sue his butt for non performance of assigned duties.

As Bobby said, Daboll wanted to get through the season working together. The discord could be worked out when the season was over.
Daboll, and the rest of the coaching staff, had an obligation to the players and owners to go out there and do their best every week. He needed Martindale as a defensive coordinator, not sitting at home. When Daboll says it was two strong personalities at work, I believed him. And still do. Wink got all in his feelings.
Funny thing is if the roles were reversed and Martindale was the HC and Daboll was the OC, Wink would do what you suggested. Some people would agree with it. I wouldn't.

It also became apparent that there was nobody in house who could take his place as an interim DC. Not Henderson, not Patterson or anyone named Wilkins. Three million to save the season by firing him for cause would have been well worth it. After back to back altercations ending badly, I doubt the Eagles would want him and btw, teams don't need Wink Martindale to figure out Daboll's Offense. They already get it.

The first part would have made things worse.
The second part is just silly. But we are the land of the free and frivolous lawsuits.
