Out, injured and personal reasons.
Chiefs star Kadarius Toney is ruled OUT of AFC Championship game against the Ravens due to 'personal
reasons'
And more
Kadarius Toney's Kansas City future is cloudy, at best

I get the feeling it's their way of phasing him out.
Star?
I'll give Schoen credit for cashing out in time on this player. He brought back a 3rd and 6th round pick. Toney is completely worthless by now.
It's hard to believe a first round pick could lose so much value in only 3 years. Never mind the opportunity cost of trading the pick that could have brought back an All Pro edge rusher or right tackle. Thank Gettleman for that one.

He was well practiced in this skill already (see De'Andre Baker, whom he traded assets to move up into the first round to get).
Worst NFL GM since Matt Millen.
Wanna dolla?
Congratulations in order for Toney who became a dad to a bouncing baby girl; hence, the personal reason.
Peace.
What a shocker

Yet somehow we drafted him and missed completely his immaturity. How is that possible?

Amusing and sad at the same time. I have a few other thoughts but I'll just keep them to myself.
Bottom line, if you're a wide receiver and you couldn't make it work on a team with Patrick Mahomes as the QB, Andy Reid as the playcaller, and a solid offensive line, then I really don't know what to tell you.

Did you understand WTH he said? I don't speak Joka Hype.

No, other than a few choice words/phrases here and there.
The rest might as well have been Chinese.

It was a massive struggle but all I could understand is that he's not injured and all the talk of a hip or ankle injury is rubbish.
But crikey, listening to that was exhausting.
I can't help but repeat what I have said many times since they first showed Toney on Draft Day standing in the middle of his family's living room hiding behind that dumb friggin hoodie, namely - Gettleman, you're an idiot. And in both cases, I was right, much to my regret.
There are three careers that come to my mind that are a young persons career
Hooker/stripper
Rapper
Professional athlete
Toney chose two of those careers in the form of professional athlete in wannabe rapper. If you think about it, he's not gonna be in the NFL for no more than three years maybe shorter. The Super Bowl ring he might be a curse in the long run. Sad to say he's gonna be sitting in an apartment probably broke, and every time he looks at that ring it's gonna be a painful reminder of what could've been. It's clear to me he has the speed and talent to do quite well in the NFL and the young kid flushed it all down the toilet as he gets older saying his 40s and 50s every time he looks at that ring assuming he doesn't pawn it for money will be a reminder of what could've been
The thing with toney is he probably never really had to tried and once he had to it was too late
How do you study and actually understand a playbook at the age of 22 when you never had to?
No one to.explain it
No one forcing you
Its hard to actually study
Day after day and understand it when you never had to
Say what you want about him and there is much to say, if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl again he will have 2 rings. That's something for a guy who contributed nothing
A million-dollar talent piloted by a ten-cent brain. Toney is going to be out of the league very soon.
Has Toney done anything to violate the rules of his contract and lose his guaranteed 4th year? Similar to what Coughlin did to Fournette (even though he was productive).
But Lil' Jokah will be available as a guest performer with Usher at halftime.
=))

Agreed. He may get one more shot on a vet minimum prove-it type deal but I think he's largely done. He may not even get that.
As I said the other day, if you're a wide receiver and you can't make it work on a team with Mahomes as your QB, a good O line, and Andy Reid as your play-caller, then it's not likely to happen anywhere else, and the rest of the league can see that.
His attitude is also awful. Why on earth would anyone want someone like that around, even if he were decently productive, which he is not?

Awwww, poor Joka.
Let's see: he lied about being injured when he was with the Giants. Now he's crying that the Chiefs are lying about him being injured? =)) =)) =)) =))
The guy is a nugget. He got his ring last year......kudos....but he's toxic.

Skip Brainless is the only person who makes Toney look like a Rhodes Scholar. How does this asswipe still have a platform?

What do you mean? He'll be making millions off his future rapping career! :smug:
At a 2.5mm dead cap, if he's not shown the door the day after the league year ends, someone is stupid. His trade value would be an 8th.

He'll be the KC secret weapon on SB Sunday!

More likely he's the Niners secret weapon.
I can't wait to see the NGT Chiefs star Kadarius Toney is ruled OUT of the Super Bowl thread this weekend.
The Giants don't always make the best moves, but getting rid of a useless piece of crap like Toney was among their best.
Kadarius Toney says his latest rant was aimed at New York Giants fans

Cheers!
"star", LOL.
Quote"It kind of started like that," Toney said. "In the process of that, I got interrupted so it got like a mixed message behind it, I guess you could say. Then, a lot of footage got chopped up in the release, so it made it like I was attacking doing what I love the most. . . I never attacked the Chiefs, never said anything about the Chiefs. Who I was referring to was the Giants fans and the people in my comment box, not even on my live recording, so you wouldn't even know they were there. But I was referring to them, which I shouldn't have. I just wanted to go out there. I just wanted to get my message across as far as my injury, but I shouldn't have did that at the end of the day.
"I'm a man, and I can accept my mistakes just like I can accept my wins. But I'm just moving past it right now. We're heading out. We're just trying to win."
Funny how he instantly starts using complete sentences and sounds reasonable when the media has mics in front of him and he is in damage control mode after speaking like a 6 year old on his social media.

Is this guy going to be out of the NFL completely after this season?
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on February 11, 2024, 08:38:15 AMIs this guy going to be out of the NFL completely after this season?
He's a first-round pick, I suspect another team will take a veteran minimum flyer on his next year
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on February 11, 2024, 08:38:15 AMIs this guy going to be out of the NFL completely after this season?
Not so fast. Since he was a 1st round pick his 4th season is fully guaranteed so the Chiefs will be carrying a $2.5 million dead cap hit if he is cut. Teams have done this so it's possible he is cut.

He seems to be toxic enough and unreliable enough that, even with that $2.5m hit, it's questionable at best that he should have a precious roster spot.
Being a healthy scratch in the Super Bowl kind of tells you all you need to know about what the Chiefs think of him at this point.

Not sure Dave. It wouldn't surprise me if a team takes him cheap. hoping they could turn him around. Sadly, for Toney, teams will soon discover he is toxic and not salvageable.
The problem with Toney is he just doesn't understand what Mahones says in the huddle. We all know Toney speaks his own sort of language. =)) =)) =)) =)) =)) =))
What a freaking BUST this idiot has been.

That's a sad statement of Toney. Skyy Moore is awful.
Nauseating thought for the day......Kadarius now has TWO Super Bowl rings.
Pass the barf bag.
Well, he's saving money living rent free on this board. :surrender:
