Title: AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Post by: andrew_nyGiants on January 28, 2024, 03:30:53 PM
Does Pacheco remind you of Ahmad Bradshaw?!
I'm sure having flashbacks watching him.

Not dissimilar. I think Pacheco may end up being the better runner of the two of them, but that's a decent comparison.

Bradshaw and Jacobs were torture on defenses.

Yes he certainly does.

And Pacheco is better than Barkley. Runs very very hard, catches it and picks up blocks too

I think the only real difference (if I recall correctly) I see is that AB had to battle through some pretty serious ankle issues...nevertheless he was a mighty tough hombre.

This could easily be a 20+ lead for the Chiefs.  Ravens can still win this.

But they won't. Not today against the Chiefs who are playing this game perfectly and making the Ravens play right into their game plan.

A lot is going to have to change for them to turn this around. They really weren't playing smart in gifting the Chiefs 30 yards to start that final drive of the half.

But we shall see.

Peace!

The Ravens have been great at making halftime adjustments. Whether they are able to do this effectively will tell the tale of the game.

The Chiefs have flicked the switch. They are playing inspired football and the Ravens seem shocked. Lamar looked very shaky in the first half.  Redfaced

Ravens often play much better in the second half.

Point number 1 -
Spags 💙
Point number 2 -
This has been one of the best first halves I've watched all season.
Point number 3 -
Most of you probably aren't watching uk Sky TV but Jason Bell is garbage when he isn't being Osi's straight man.

Another stupid Ravens penalty. Taunting, of all things. Mental mistakes will be the Ravens' ultimate undoing if they keep it up, regardless if they score here.

Sadly, I believe if the Ravens score here, they will win the game. KC has done nothing this half.

I agree. But the mental mistakes will be their undoing if they cannot be disciplined enough to avoid stupid penalties.

Lets's see how the final quarter unfolds.

Title: Re: AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Flowers looks like a bozo now. He taunts the Champs, then he loses the ball at the goal line for a touchback.

That's why they won't win today. The Chiefs know how to win these games. Seeing Flowers cut his hand on the bench in frustration is icing other cake. Literally, he pulled a Toney on his own team.

Ugh.

You have to be experienced or coached in a game like this not to give the game away with stupid mistakes and losing composure.

I thought this game was the Ravens and picked them.  They were clearly the best team in the conference all year.

KC defense has made a lot of plays

These long plays where Lamar scrambles for 5 after running around for 7 seconds, are not helping the Ravens

L Jackson hot garbage. RB throwing the ball. How many years now / never disproved he's not post season material as a passer.

Jan Stenerud making the presentation to Clark, and Clark's words about his parents underscore how strong a family run shop the Kansas City Chiefs are. A classy organization and deserved of defending their title in the upcoming Super Bowl.

Peace!

I thought they should've called a pass interference in end zone - announcer was wrong. It happened before the ball reached the WR. Refs were the show today.

And the amount of holding NOT called was absurd. These are things that hurt Giants all the ti e because we always get flagged.

- Thoroughly impressed with Spags
- Not thoroughly impressed with Ravens defensive coaching
- Pacheco is an excellent RB (better then Saquon)
- Kudos for post game remarks by Andy Reid
- Was nice seeing Odell show up
- NFL got what they wanted - a Taylor Swift SuperBowl. May as well let her do the halftime show at this point

A lot of hot takes here. As much as I a hate this whole Taylor Swift thing/ Chiefs always in the SB -- Ravens sucked,

Pacheko is not better than Barkley either

Barkley was better in 2018/2019 than what Pacheco is today.

Not anymore. Pacheco is the better player now. Barkley has had too many injuries. Lost all his burst.

Barley has always danced and hesitated. I wish there was a stat on how many times a RB just put the head down and ran into the oline. Whereas u watch a guy like McCaffrey or Pacheco and they pause a second and then drive!

Does he come with a HOF Coach, HOF QB, HOF TE, and top rated defense? You realize it is a lot easier when you have those right?
