Eagles and Barkley are going to be champs
I'm disgusted
It's a wrap.
Half of the city will be burned tomorrow.

I bet big on the Eagles and the over; they're the better team. Have a bet for Hurts to be MVP.
I think I'd rather rewatch SB 35 than see this trash.

Hahaha
Referees are the show. It's not the way things should be in a Super Bowl
Fangio's defense is the show.
It looked like that chiefs WR didn't want to catch that last ball???
Didn't even try.
And why was Mahomes allowing so much time to come off clock?
Quote from: T200 on February 09, 2025, 08:17:09 PMFangio's defense is the show.
Absolutely. He was run out of Miami by the players and this team has certainly taken to his style.

It was Hopkins and he tripped. Again, the Eagles are the much more talented team.
Three rushing attempts by the Chiefs.
Three...
Goes to show what an Oline playing bad can mean to the play of an all time great QB. Eli had bad Oline play for the majority of his latter years.

I think pretty much every position except for quarterback.

I agree, Matt. I got in at Phili -1.5... a steal.
I don't hate the Eagles as most here do. I can separate the team from its fans.
The Eagles are clearly the better team. Injuries are the only thing that's going to derail them... and Hurts.
Who knew Kadarius Toney was so important to the Chief's success?
Chiefs defense isn't playing bad. Offense didn't make the trip.
Hurts showing he is a great processor

I spoke too soon lol
Chiefs offense isn't even sweating! They ain't getting no work lol

Got them on +102 ML.
Never thought the Chiefs would have less than 50 total yards after almost 3 quarters
Forgive me for saying this, please don't blast me.
One year ago on 1/7 I believe, the NY Giants BEAT the Eagles with our backup QB...a game they needed I think?...but, if I remember correctly their coach was on the hot seat and to be fired.
12 months later - now look.
There is hope for us.

They had talent that underachieved. Their coach was an ass and was making an ass of the team.
We're not in that situation.
Chiefs may be the first team to get shutout in the big game.
How many times have the Eagles rushed more than 4?
Quote from: uconnjack8 on February 09, 2025, 09:03:42 PMGot them on +102 ML.
My ML wasn't as good. Money must have started moving that direction.
Hurts MVP pays really well tho.

They were also an 11 win team that had a top 10 offense. Their defense was just terrible. There was a foundation to build on then they had an absolute home run of an offseason. I know people have talked about Zack Baun, but signing a 28 year old to a 1 year, $3.5M deal and turning him into an All-Pro linebacker is just an insane story. That's on top of drafting a stud CB in the first round and another very good DB in the second.

My point is - look at them now 12 months removed. If we were able to back and look at our threads about the Eagles from then, many were saying they're done and it's over.
My point is - maybe things aren't as bad as we think. Reason for hope. Last year 98% on here said Eagles coach was a bust and out of control and their team was done. 98% of us (myself included) were 100% wrong

The Giants aren't owned by Jeff Lurie and don't have a GM remotely as good as the Eagles GM.
Barkley carried the offense almost all season and Hurts just had to be good enough
In the big game... it pains me ... but hurts showed up

A lot of stuff gets said here and the majority of it ends up being as close to right as the Chiefs are to winning this game. Just because it's said here doesn't make it correct. Not many folks here are going to give an honest assessment of a hated division rival.
To your point, things are never as bad (or good) as we make them out to be.

Hurts is a 3x pro bowler and had 32 TDs this season. He's good! You knew the KC was going to load up against the run, leaving Hurts to have a big game. He's also came up big in the last SB he played in; let's not pretend he's not a dynamic QB.
I think it's a disgrace we only see the commander in chief once in the entire telecast. Fox left a lot to be desired

I think now he has to be in the conversation with Jackson, Allen, and Burrow

Why is it a disgrace ? People tune in to watch football not to look at him. . I would feel the same way if we saw a lot of Taylor Swift who incidentally is so much more popular than he is.

Because they kept showing famous people - including the owner of Fox

How many did they show more than once?
Eagles deserve immense credit. Everyone of us had them dead last year. As well as their fans. Look now.
I believe in Brandon Brown to get us there
TRench, I disagree what you said about showing people but I agree about Brandon Brown

Yeah, I'm not being political here, but I appreciated he came to the game (in fact I was surprised to learn we never had a President attend a Super Bowl)...actually it shocked me...but since he showed up I would've enjoyed seeing him on camera a few times - especially since they showed the actors/actresses and owner of Fox
Tom Brady needs to improve big time as an announcer. To have Greg Olsen on the bench is a travesty.

Yup, he's not very good and surprisingly adds very little insight. Mostly just obvious takes.
Eagles blitzed once all game I think.
Rushed 4, sacked Mahomes 6 times and created 3 turnovers.
That is some domination by the D-line.

This is funny. The "Commander in Chief" snubbed by Fox and its owner? People live in a bizarro world.
I see my comment was deleted. The truth hurts huh?

I deleted it. Move on.
I watched the game with little expectations because I wanted both teams to lose. Turned out to be the worst game I've ever watched, and the half-time show was awful too IMO...maybe I'm just getting too old...I like competitive games down to the wire, and old-fashioned rock and roll music
The one thing I did think was interesting is watching Saquon play exactly like he played for us. A couple yards here, then stood up, then 4 yds, dragged down after a yard, with one good catch. I don't know how he turned into superman all season, but he didn't look like that in the big game
If not for a couple commercials, I would call it a dud of an evening. The pickle ball ad made me laugh...at least there's that, and it was nice to hear Seal's sweet vocals
