Yeah, I saw this as well. I'm happy for the Raiders, but I'm a bit bummed about Darnold possibly signing with the Seahawks, but we will see what happens.

I'd put all the money in the world on the Raiders drafting a Qb now. Carroll likes to sign and draft together ala Matt Flynn and Wilson.

I see Steelers fans are upset that their team didn't go get Geno. I wonder if we, as Giants fans, will regret the Giants' decision not to acquire him.

It shakes up both free agency and the draft. How exactly we will have to wait and see but it reminds us that things might look very different for us and others by the time draft day comes along. As fans we should try not to dig ourselves into 'we must/must not' positions this early in the process as so much can happen that is unexpected. It is hard to avoid rushing to certainty because we are human but...

Interesting how the Vegas Show didn't go after Rodgers. Unless Rodgers wasn't open to Vegas. Less bidders for his services now.

This improves the availability of Dart after a trade down from #3 to #7 or #8. All we need is one of the trading partners to be in love with Sanders.

I'm not saying Dart is the answer, which is why acquiring a '26 1st rounder must be part of the deal.

Before DeVito was signed, I was hoping for a COMPLETE overhaul of the QB room. All these coaches and GMs talk about is how important competition is in building a competitive roster. Can anyone here tell me the last time the Giants required their QB to actually compete for his job?!

Takes the Raiders out of the mix to trade up to one with Tennessee thus weakening their leverage with the Giants.

The Raiders remain the Raiders. Why do you give up a third round pick for a guy as old as Smith, who has only had success in one place, when your roster is full of holes? I assume they're out of the running for either of the top two guys because moving up gives you fewer resources to build the team. But the Smith deal makes no sense to me.

Pete Carroll can't afford to develop a young QB. They will draft the running back from Boise State. They have Bowers. Their defense isn't terrible and Carroll is a good defensive coach. They will be very competitive but are in a tough division.

Not big on iron jaw Geno in general.  I get why they wanted him, but do not understand why they would trade a 3rd and then sign an extension.  Seems like a high cost for a guy that I assume they are hoping isn't their starter in a couple of years.

He had a solid year in 2022 but has not matched it since.

Who coached him in 2022?

Same guy that coached him in 2023.

Will his supporting cast in Oakland be better or worse?
