See anyone you'd like us to sign?

We need a 3rd corner, more oline, dline, and wr depth among other things.

I'd take a shot on Dante Fowler, Zadarius Smith, Preston Smith, Clelin Ferrell, or Carl Lawson if it's a team friendly deal.

I am also on board with with signing of Teven Jenkins G, Jedrick Wills T, Mechi Becton G, Will Hernadez G, or Dalton Risner.

Asante Samuel Jr is intriguing if it is a cheap deal.

Supposedly the Giants have been in contact with the 49ers on Brandon Auyik in the event they secure Aaron Rodgers services.

Wouldn't mind Becton.

Also wouldn't mind Hunt. Seemed to be a short yardage machine last season - if you can get over his character flaws.

Both obviously price dependent.

Becton is injury prone.  The Eagles have one of the best medical staffs in the league, and they barely were able to keep him available for most of the season.  With Ronnie Barnes and company, I could see Becton rarely seeing the field.

Watch out for Dillon Radunz, 26, who has started 26 of last 34 games mainly at RG for the Titans offering up league average play and and evidence of improvement. Has some RT versatility in an emergency. He might fit Schoen's preference for younger guys as starters.

I remember him coming out of N Dakota st. and he has been an average pass blocker but solid run blocker. I'd love to grab him as depth but he may start somewhere.

we need 1-2 OL and a bridge qb, meaning wilson on the cheap or someone else not named aaron rodgers, BPA in rd. 1 but not ward or sanders regardless of what goes in picks 1 and 2, and then draft either will howard or dart at the top of round two.

PS.  Cousins has disappeared from the conversation.   He's mu choice for a two eyar bridge...three if we wait until '26 to draft the qb.
He will be available at some point, and to hurry things I'd ask atlanta for a trade for a 4th and them paying some of the $$$

Becton could make an interesting mentor to Neal with his transfer to OG

I'd also take flyers on Devin White, LB and Nick Chubb RB

DeMarcus Lawrence would be a steal, if he can stay healthy.

Hernandez? Wasn't he drafted by the Giants?

Yes, yes he was drafted by the Giants.  Barkley was drafted 2nd overall and Hernandez was taken in round two.  It was Gettleman's first draft.

When his rookie contract was up, the Giants let him walk.  He has been playing with the Cards since.  He has played well when healthy.

Right. We had very high hopes on him, unfortunately he didn't live up to the expectations, at least not with us.

That is the story and a major driver of NYG's failings over the past decade.  The Giants haven't neglected the Oline but even when they draft highly touted O-linemen like Hernandez, Neal, JMS they inevitably disappoint.

I think on JMS, the judgement is still suspended.

Agree on Neal, he's just bad, probably Hernandez wasn't that bad as Neal but not as good as we hoped they'd be.

I am less optimistic on JMS.  He was older with a long college career.  He came into the league about as FL ready as an NFL center can be. Plus he was a low ceiling/high floor kind of prospect.  So I am not optimistic with the jury still out of him after two seasons in the league.

It goes back further than that - the centre, Richburgh was a second rounder that wasn't extended. Granted that could be our medical staff as he was beset by injuries here but that's a story as old as time.

They've certainly tried.

One intangible on Hernandez, who came to the Giants from UTEP (i.e. Texas - El Paso but grew up in Las Vegas and has extended family in Mexico City), despite having a very good rookie season with the Giants, never truly felt at home in the New York Metropolitan area.

He stayed physically healthy during his time with the Giants except for contracting COVID-19 in 2020. Upon his return, he lost his starting job for the remainder of the season. Although he started all 17 games in 2021, after that dumpster fire of a season, and looking for opportunities to move closer to "home," he jumped at the chance to sign with the Cardinals. In his three years out here, he has suffered injury in two of them (NOTE: 2022 he suffered a pectoral muscle injury which forced him to miss four games while last season, 2024, he suffered a season-ending torn ACL after starting only five games).

John Vaccaro suggests that Hernandez is the league's Most Underrated Free Agent at His Position (https://athlonsports.com/nfl/arizona-cardinals/arizona-cardinals-will-hernandez-most-underrated-free-agent-guard).

The only question is will the Cardinals make an effort to resign him or will another team take a chance on his proven portfolio of performance and bet that he'll recover from his ACL injury. He's 30 years old and his price tag might translate into too much risk.

Stay tuned. I hope things work out for him because he's been a good one for the Cardinals and an ambassador for the NFL in Mexico.

Peace!

I remember him being a penalty machine. Also wasn't able to open holes at all especially near the goal line
