Was Daboll asked any questions about the trenches, either on offense or defense?
Dan Duggan

Yes. I asked about run D and he said he views that as a team stat, where the offense can help by scoring and not allowing the other team to just be in run-mode to close out games. I asked Schoen if thought he did enough to improve the trenches and he interestingly only addressed the OL in his answer. Doesn't seem like they viewed DT play as a big problem last season.

Here is a good article with plenty of bullet points of what Daboll said

I am rooting hard for Dabs/Schoen to succeed this season so we the continuity that is necessary for success. Both seem like good guys.
It will be interesting to see if Dabs redesigns the offense around the strengths of his new QBs. He noted the outside speed of his WRs. Maybe Hyatt sees the field more.
Hopeful in a much more exciting offense to watch.

Schoen: " ...Daboll is taking the pieces that we have and developing the offense around those guys. I think Dabs will figure out what Russ likes and what he does well and pair it with the weapons at receiver, tight end, and running back."

I just hope we finish this offensive rebuild by drafting more skilled position players and starting OL help. Draft Hunter, then go OL, WR and RB for the rest of the draft as far as I am concerned. If Wilson/Winston fail, at least we'll have a full rebuild and can just get a rookie QB in 2026.
