I never noticed this guy until today. He's not rated in the top 100, or even in the top 200 in many cases (although 247 Sports has him rated as 70th in the draft). So what would you think of a defensive tackle who stands at 6'5" and weighs in at 295 (down 11 lbs since his junior year). He made Bruce Feldman's "Freaks List" (twice) after running a 4.79...benches 445 pounds and squats 580. This offseason, he vertical-jumped 32 inches and broad-jumped 9-0, which is simply unheard of for a 300 lb guy. A huge lineman with incredible athletic numbers, right?
But was he productive? Let's see
Last season at Notre Dame, he had a season shortened 7.5 sacks (the man who was always double teamed) and wreaks havoc on the offensive line, having a reputation for being one of the most disruptive linemen in the draft for DTs. Working alongside Dex would make a formidable defensive line
His name is Rylie Mills - a corn fed, farm boy from Illinois. The downside: He tore his ACL last season. Needs to spend a year of healing on IR
Anyway, he'll probably be available late in the draft because of his injury and unavailability this coming season. For those who don't mind "delayed gratification", he could be a steal, but the results wouldn't be this year
