Great pick, great player. Day one contributer and difference maker.
If he's everything people think, this is a game changing player. But now the real fun begins.
Hunter and Carter were clearly the two best players in the draft.
Carter is a defensive cornerstone.
Love it!!!
Now, let's see what Kayvon is really made of. I want to see him rise to the occasion and establish himself as a long-term Giant.
A no brainer pick if ever there was one!
Very happy with the pick. He is a game wrecker and teams cannot double Burns, Dex and Carter.
Thank God they didn't screw it up. Two years in a row we end up with the best player in the draft.
Let's go get the QB!!!
They didnt F it up.
Amazing pick. I am excited.
If they can trade back in and get Dart I will be over the moon
Here's some highlights:

Wondering if Kayvon is traded now
Obvious...but some relief from the media morons finally.. great Giant destruction to be
His highlights are fabulous!!! If his heart is in it he will be a fantastic player

Trench football warfare let's get back to.
Defensive ends, offensive tackles and QBs are worth the most. So this was a no brainer.
So grateful we didn't get the 1st pick and get Ward.
I think winning that game was the best thing that happened to us recently.
Schoen gets a lot of flak and for good reason, but he didn't force a QB and didn't trade a lot of picks to move up (that reported package they offered Tennessee is insane though... thankful it wasn't accepted). They did the smart thing and that's so important.
Now interesting what happens the rest of the round. I would really prefer the giants not trade picks to move up, and I'm secretly hoping both Sanders and Dart are on the board after today is over. Really no reason to move up then unless Daboll wants Dart that badly, as i could see the browns or a trade up candidate take Sanders first tomorrow, and then Dart is an option for us.

Trading up would be a huge mistake and reek of desperation.

I hope not. I rather like the idea of having 3 good pass rushers.
Love the pick. Welcome to The Giants! Our defense is really shaping up which I love. Maybe another rough year then get the QB in 2026.
Although maybe they pull something later tonight

Golston/Dimukeje aren't horrible options as a 3rd rusher if we need to trade KT.

I would rather have him hustling in his FA year than taking what he would bring in a trade.

I do too and Kayvon is a solid run defender as well. Just wonder if he could be an odd man out for a variety of reasons. Dex and Burns have big contracts so signing Kayvon to an extension seems unlikely. Further given the 5th year option possibility they may be able to get a decent price for him.
I like the idea of having depth at pass rusher, but they need a lot of help elsewhere, especially on offense, so if it happens I won't be upset depending on what they do with it.
If we pick up a solid DT tomorrow this defense could actually be close to elite.

He's still a good young player and you need depth.
If Thibs can't get to the QB now then he's a total bust

Per Dan Salamone, Joe Schoen is now stating that they are picking up Thibs' option.

Hopefully the can find big Dex a Robin to his Batman. If they can find a good DT in round two this defense could be really good.
Dart it is 👏👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wasn't enamored with him as a prospect. His highlights looked great, sure. Everybody's highlights look great. All I can say is, I hope he plays better than the last top five pass rusher we took.
And learns how to put his jersey all the way on.

Carter replying to Shannon sharps criticism of him wanting 56.

Completely on board with him playing off ball on rushing downs his rookie year.

Nothing wrong with sets where they are not on the field at the same time and rotating in that set. Keeps players fresher.
One of the things that annoys me is when they have DLinemen dropping back into coverage when it is obvious they are a fish out of water. I get it, it is just to cause confusion and you are hoping the OLine now has a player not blocking anyone off the snap, which helps other pass rushers avoid a double team or come free. With his experience as a Mike, can have Carter do so and will actually KNOW what he is doing.
Is Simms giving up number 11??

coggs: You are so right. Speed is one of Carter's great assets. And the guy who posted that video was correct. They'll be re-running that play (which was against a good team) over and over during preseason games on the Giants' "home" channel, IMO. Bob

As far as I know, the only number Carter was interested in was Taylor's 56, and LT shut down that discussion

I'll be interesting to see if Banks will give up his #2 for Dart or if Dart changes his number.

I wondered if Banks switched to that number, thinking he would be able to sell it (Didn't Sanders wear number 2, as well?)
