Seventeen days from the last PS game to the start of the season. 22 days from the third game. I'll lose my xxxx if they don't play the starters against the Jets for a half and then should play them for a quarter against the Pats.
The whole not playing starters at least a quarter is mind boggling to me. This is one of the youngest teams in the league. It's not some veteran superbowl ready team. Last two years we got smashed on opening day and didn't even look remotely ready to play. I would sit only veterans stars Dex/thomas I would still give them one drive in the third game just to feel live contact. Most of the team is 22-24 years old lol get on the field.
I tend to agree with
@Ed Vette and
@Crypto Fareez Give the players the time they need to get ready for the season, even if there is an increased injury risk. A healthier squad isn't much of an advantage if they are not ready to play. Between draft picks and free agent signing a lot of key players (starters and major role players) are new to the team and can use the reps
Giants have been beyond inept to start the last two seasons..Pokes and Vikes beat downs at home...
So deflating. :doh:
If they dont have their starting OL set by Aug 1st, I will lose it. They need live reps together.
While I don't have data to back up my thoughts on this matter, I almost think it's better to go harder in camp. Get the bumps and bruises type injuries out of the way and get the players' bodies acclimated to the rigors of an NFL season. It seems like the slowly ramping up approach only pushes those types of injuries into the start of the season, rather than actually avoiding them.
Wanted to share our base opponents for the next two years, our schedule gets significantly easier.

If you have a crystal ball on which teams will be tough in two years, what's the NJ Powerball numbers for this week? Tia

Just saying the NFC west and AFC south as of right now seem easier than the current slate of AFC west and NFC North.
