Title: Not a single NYG CB makes PFF's top 32 list

Could this be a red flag we should be paying more attention to?

It's not ideal, several teams have two guys on that list. If adebo and banks are in the top 70 that would work. Banks is 177th in coverage grade and Adebo is 85th. Might need to get a little luck here. I think they can good be good enough with all the other parts on defense.

Ed,

As you are well aware, there is nothing I can "do" about it, at least in terms of fixing the problem.  On the other hand, when you consider this aspect of the defense, perhaps it might be worth being more cautious in terms of anticipating a top NFL defense.  Sure, our pass rush may prove to be awesome, but there are still plenty of question marks with the rest of the defense.

A serious pass rush will improve the CBs grades.

Anyone who fails to have reasonable expectations over this team, should get a new hobby. Or a prescription for Zanax.

Only 6 Corners have the 43 pass deflections and 10 interceptions Adebo has since 2021; Denzel Ward, Jalen Ramsey, Trevon Diggs, Patrick Surtain II, Rasul Douglas and Byron Murphy.

Pretty elite list to not be in the top 32

I expect Nanks, Dru, and Tre to get to the next level. I like the rookies. Flott gets better every year. The Safety coverage will help the CBs. Then they can draft a shutdown corner next year. Patience.

Seriously, our best Cornerbacks in the last 25 years or so. Sehorn, Webster, DRC, Jenkins were probably pretty close to 20-32 in the league or so, for lots of their career. I don think this is a big deal. It's ok because Daboll and Bowen said they can play cornerback with this fierce pass rush  /sarcasm/

Blast from the past. Dave Thomas started opposite Sehorn when we got got blown out against the Ravens. I find his career interesting. What NFL cb started the whole season on a conference champion and was out of the league the next year. Crazy isnt it?

Janoris Jenkins in his prime was elite, at least during his all pro season.
