They should have won this game looking over their shoulder.

Yup, they had the game in their hands.

This is getting good.  Green Bay now setup to take the lead.

Quote from: Doc16LT56 on January 20, 2024, 09:28:09 PMIf your focus is on the individual, what you say has merit. If you focus on the team, OBJ's career has been lightyears ahead of the Giants since 2019. It's the Giants and parts of their fan base, not OBJ, who come across as whiney and not who they think they are. OBJ has earned around 20 million over his last 2 seasons and has a shot at his second Super Bowl in his last two years. Short of the individual stats, he's doing everything any kid dreams of doing in the NFL. What else should he be doing to earn the approval of an organization that wasted his talent and after a decade of futility still can't get out of it's own way.

Yup, OBJ states the obvious and some still want to believe he's the devil and the Giants have been a stellar organization for the past decade plus.  We're a dumpster fire who still can't get it right and OBJ has an excellent shot at a second ring.  Those are the facts.

Obj is right.  This organization has had its head up its ass for over a decade.

A problem with this team is they're awful in close.  Nobody can finish around the net. They rely on one timers and deflections for a lot of their goals.  If you can't score the dirty goals down low you will see more results like last night against Vegas.

Used to be a nice change of pace to throw them on for a bit.  I think it has run its course now.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Should the Giants cut Waller?

Quote from: coggs on January 16, 2024, 04:05:19 PMWaller did not impress me this year.  I get it, they had other problems.  So with that in mind, cut him or keep him?  I am fine either way.

Me either and clearly his best days are behind him.  I expect an injury more than a big game.

Daboll gets another year to turn things around.  My problem is in 2022 they ended the year 2-5-1.  Yes, they beat the Vikings in the playoffs but as some of said they might of set the franchise back.  They then got trounced by the Eagles in the next round.

Anyway you look at it 2023 was a step backwards and now throw in the turmoil with the coaching staff.  Plus, what still needs to be done with this roster.

Quote from: BluesCruz on January 16, 2024, 01:33:49 PMI dont know anything is going to change.  Right now I fully expect a defiant Daboll as HC.  An unrepentant Jones throwing Dump offs and Saquon right beside him.  Giants are nothing if not stubborn as a mule.  Drives me nuts

You can change GMs HC's Players whatever and they will remian the most conservative team forever.  Only Bill Parcells was able to successfully break that mold.  He was not intimidated by the Mara's

I don't disagree.  The franchise has been run poorly which is why since the last SB the record is dreadful.  Now you have a max exodus of the coaching staff which is never a good sign.

It's just a pointless poll when we know there's going to be fundamental changes to this team.

The problem is that with Jerry the show is more important than the team.  Give me a team like the Packers any day over the yearly Barnum and Bailey's Circus.

Quote from: MightyGiants on January 15, 2024, 10:36:07 AMThe Cowboy's defense was used to playing with big leads, which naturally limited the opposing offense's running games.  Since the Packers led from the get-go, the Cowboys' defense struggled to handle a team that was just as likely to run as they were to pass.

It's amazing how Aaron Jones just completely owns them.

The Cowboys defense has to take a big hit here.  A short field INT and pick six didn't help but they let the Packers offense steamroll them.

Quote from: GordonGekko80 on January 15, 2024, 02:43:28 AMI think that'll happen.

With the team he had in hand, not advancing at all in the Playoffs is a failure.

I mean, I am not saying you need to get to the SB, but at least to the Divisional Round?

Funny stat I saw this morning.  Green Bay now has more playoff wins(3) at AT&T than Dallas (2).
