Being a day tripper I would prefer the BBQ on Saturday, however if we go to dinner Saturday then I wouldn't mind staying late and then heading back after.  I will not be back for Sunday.

You could say that the play was not only the most important play of the season for the Giants but also in a negative way that it was the same for the Jets.  The Jets went on to and 8 and 8 record and would also chalk up a loss in the last game of the season.

Thanks Ed for finding the post that we discused on Sunday.  What a great piece of writing.  Perhaps we can get this to the Giants.  I'm sure someone like John Mara would like to read it.

Ron Johnson was the FIRST Giant to rush for 1,000 yards.  The ONLY reason that I didn't pick Gifford for my all-time RB is because, as I said, he played THREE different positions.  And, BTW, Giff was also the "third string" QB.  If necessary he could've played there.  He actually threw the halfback option pass successfully.  IMO, he's the greatest all-time Giant.

Jim, you could also add that he made the pro bowl at all three of those positions.  What about Eugene O. "Choo-Choo" Roberts who at the time in 1950 set a league record and held the Giant record until Barber broke it and Alphonse "Tuffy" Emil Leemans who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1978.  Where is Lenn when you need him.

Tomeee:

I'll bring ribs if it's OK and it's not to much food.

I'll be there.  I live only 5 minutes from tomeee.  If I don't make then I will not be able to show my face.

I'll be there.  Coming from Westchester like Tom.

I will be coming but I'm not sure if my wife will be.  I will bring the Turkey and Veggie burgers along with a vegtable platter.  If I can fit my small Weber grill in my car then I will bring it along with a bag of charcoal.

This is the first I'm hearing of this since I couldn't get to the site to often during the holiday season.  I was debating on going to the NJ get together during the season but at the last moment decided not to attend.  I now regret that decision and only wish that I attended.  May you RIP Evan.

Welcome aboard tailgators.  It's good to have new input in the discussion.

Sorry for being so late but I'm also with this move.  I spoke with Ed (Vette) at the Jet Giant game and told him then that the move would be best for our group.

I'll do the Hamburger meat. 10lbs and Turkey burgers and rolls.  I will be coming up that day so I can put it on ice and keep it in the cooler.

I'm happy with the board as it is.  New poster are fine just so long as they are civil and courteous to others.

While going on to the other site I notice that the people that I like and considered friends from visits to camp, I received a note from someone about this site and I have been here since.  I consider the current group to be more then just Giant fans.  They are friends and associates that I have come to respect as people.  You should all be proud of yourselves.

Tarkenton was once quoted as saying that Homer Jones had the bigest hands of anyone he had ever seen.  You couple that with his size and speed and you can see why he was so good.  He was one of my all time Giant favorites.  Great post Brian.
