Quote from: killarich on December 31, 2023, 02:52:33 PMI have been in agreement with you all season...Barkley definitely isn't the Barkley of old physically and the lack of blocking by the Oline has mentally derailed his decision making. Hesitates too much. Barkley is still the Giants best offensive weapon imo.
But man his decision making at the line has been 50/50
Quote from: killarich on December 31, 2023, 02:48:09 PMWhich was my point100% on coaches. Barkley should get the majority of offensive touches.
But is that more of sign of the coaches or Barkley ?
If he was that good ...I don't think this would be the case
Quote from: Trench on December 31, 2023, 02:46:40 PMDon't be silly...the "or else" is only gonna add to an off season of questions. Our 2 (1st round) picks aren't what we hoped.
Quote from: killarich on December 31, 2023, 02:44:44 PMWhen is the last time Barkley had a carry ?
He's not getting paid
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on December 31, 2023, 02:13:41 PMKyren Williams is a living example of why we would be beyond foolish to hand Barkley even a medium sized contract like $6mm a year.
The Rams took Williams 164th overall and signed him to a 4 year rookie contract at under $1mm a year. There are guys like this in every draft. He has been great all year and gets the job done and is fresh and healthy. To blow a bunch of cash on a constantly injured, declining has-been like Barkley would be the height of foolishness. I really hope we don't do it. We desperately need that money for other positions. Every $1mm matters when you have to have 53 players all under the same salary cap. Especially when you're taking a $47mm
hit on Daniel Jones.
