Big Blue Huddle / Re: Chargers Cut Team Captain

has to be something serious for a team to cat a captain mid-season.
needs a lot of vetting IMO.

IMO we need players and cannot afford the draft capital to move up for anyone in this draft.

answer is easy, Rich....we just need to get slower players !!!!!!  :o  /sarcasm/  :o  /sarcasm/

seriously, didn't we think this was one of the fastest Giants teams ever.  yet we still seem to be behind others in that area.

as for the injuries, it happens to us every year at so many positions....you have to wonder what it really is about.

is  Bullock  fully recovered?  Do we have a kicker, or backup for either PK or punter?

Ed beat me to it,,,Hodgins.  He plays hard, catches the ball and doesn't just fall down when hit.  He's a gamer.  I wish he would get more time and throws.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Sacks allowed

gee, is there perhaps a co-relation between most sacks allowed and a dismal W-L record for the season.  Larry is spot on - - -  if we don't have a good OL it won't matter who plays qb.

Ed:   Forget last year's playoff game vs. Philly...they were monsters.  DJ was in a playoff game vs Minny..  Remember his stats and the result. He still has not had a solid cast on O, esp. the OL.  Jury still out on him, and we won't know until someday he gets a full season with a decent O and OL.  That may or may not be in NY.

derek carr's health and effectiveness is a big factor for saints.   noise and that ugly building will be factors against us.  let's get up early and silence the homies.

is it bellinger's fault that they use him to block and hardly ever throw to him>?  didn't he go one for one last week and a decent gain?   Waller and Neal for me...Waller more because of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$

then some team is going to hire a solid DC for 2024.

so much movement [instead of just expanding the 53 man roster to 60.   Did you see the browns put Flacco back on PS - not sure why or for how long.

Big Blue Huddle / Waller
December 14, 2023, 02:03:25 PM
did anyone else hear that Waller would be active for Sunday?   My son picked it up on a website [I don't know where].  We certainly have not thrown much to TE's since he went down.

there was this yesterday...

@NYPost_Schwartz

TE Darren Waller, on injured reserve with a strained hamstring, could start practicing tomorrow.  "Just a matter of them opening up the window and I'll be at practice,'' Waller said.  "Whenever that is I'll be out there.  I'm just waiting the word.''

for me here in Ohio it's the only option to see Giants games that aren't in the regular network schedule.

high school clip looked like he threw 50 yards.  If so, he can do 60 now.  Accuracy/proper leading of WR is the key
