I have a wonderful picture of Harvey that was drawn and signed by Jimmy Stewart hanging in my dining room.  One of my favorites.

Here's a layup for you.

Question  "Were you ever scared Captain Tyree?"
Answer     "Yes Sir. Up to and including now."

Today's word was correct on my 2nd attempt. Talk about the luck of the Irish.

Lenn. I'm not a real big star wars fan but I did enjoy the mandelorion. A good stand alone adventure.

Win streak ended today at 44. First time since I started this game I didn't get the word.

Agree Lou, with a dash of Captain Blood thrown in.

He will always be on top of last stand hill in "They Died With Their Boots  On"

Tough one today in that I really never even heard of this word until I looked up its meaning. Got it by sheer chance just by process of elinination

Ditto.

Bob

That is an interesting thought and one that is debated and talked about within our community.

NJ sells more hunting licenses today (last 5-10 years) then they have ever done in years past.  BUT they broke the licensing system down into multiple seasons and permits.  Harvest numbers are higher then they were in the 80s/90s but again the season is longer.

With that said the Industry is seeing a drop off in hunting participation country wide.  As more kids would rather sit on the couch then get dirty in the woods.

Also with my grandparents generation no longer hunting, my parents generation starting to hang up their boots, and my generation getting older I think hunting numbers will drop off to some degree in years to come.

My dad at 77 (78 in June) still gets out there and hunts but not alone anymore myself or a friend goes with.  He doesn

Spoiler Alert!!

Strange. When I first did the word today it was on a UK site and the word was AGORA. My daughter did the word and got a different one. I noticed the web address on her phone was the ny times. I Googled wordle and it sent  me to the NY times. I did their word and it was ARO
MA. When I went back to the uk site it changed to the times.

I agree with Rich. Now that the times owns it the words will be more difficult

Just finished watching the new series on Amazon "Reacher"  I really enjoyed it. I have read all 21 Reacher books and have seen both movies with Tom Cruise. Love the books and enjoyed the movies but always felt Cruise was a poor choice for playing Reacher. This new series hits the mark with Alan Ritchson as Reacher because he is the real deal. If you know about Jack Reacher then I think you will like this show.

One thing I suggest to people is if you are not taking one, start taking a vitamin D supplement

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpubh.2021.736665/full

https://www.rheumatologyadvisor.com/home/conference-highlights/asbmr-2021/asbmr-2021-effect-of-vitamin-d-on-risk-for-sars-cov2-covid19-infection-severity-death/

Now I know there were a few studies that suggest that vitamin D doesn't matter but the studies I linked were meta-studies looking at many studies and the dates of these studies are also newer

Thanks to an article about vitamin D that was posted by Vette on this board  I started taking 4000 in a day. A year ago I had covid and I believe that because I take vitamin D it resulted in no lung issues.

Thank again  Ed!

Count me in that column also. I hope I didn't offend anyone living in those states.  :surrender: :surrender: :surrender:

Who was the comedian who made a living doing those redneck jokes?

Part of the country's problems today is we have forgotten how to laugh at each other without someone being offended.
