Something that hasn't been discussed on this topic (unless I missed it) is that there are thousands of people who had covid and now believe as many doctors believe that if you had covid you now have a natural immunity so don't think they need to get an additional vaccine.

I also find it interesting that people who have had the vaccine are concerned about sitting in a restaurant next to a table with people who have not been vaccinated. If you have been vaccinated and you believe that the vaccine works why are you worried?

I only wear a mask if mandated by a business. Not outside any time. I had covid. I have been vaccinated. If you believe the vaccine is effective than there should be no fear of getting it again. I am fine if everyone wants to wear a mask.

When we were at Yellowstone, I also longed to go to the Little Big Horn and see where it all happened. As I gazed at a map and got some hints from others, we ended up passing on it, mainly because it is literally in the middle of nowhere, a good days ride to get there and back if you can do it in one day, and the reports I got was that it may be nice to see it, the entire park is also really not much of anything. I guess time was the biggest factor, a day, maybe more just to see a monument of Custer.

Lenn. It is in the middle of nowhere but at my age the opportunity to get there is getting limited. I just want to be able to stand there and put some things into perspective. I know that if I get that close and not go I would regret it forever.

Jolly: For me it was once racquetball and tennis (I don't think pickle-ball had been invented back then LOL). These days, it is just tennis, and rarely that.  It's not due to old age but rather to lack of free time.  Bob

I played racquetball for several years when I worked at the YMCA in Portland Maine. I was a pretty good B player but nothing like the A players. One of the men I worked with at the Y was one of the Maine Doubles Champion and it was just amazing to see him play. I really loved the game but time and bad knees have ended my ability to play anymore.

I had lunch with one of my former competitors a few weeks ago and I said that if I could have 1 day to be able to do something I could not do now it would be to have a day that I could play racquetball one more time!

We are supposed to go to Yellowstone in Aug. I plan on stopping at The Little Big Horn also. Although not a national park it is a place I have wanted to see for about 60 years.   We go to Arcadia every year when we go to Bar Harbor every fall.

Hey Lenn

If you haven't seen a show on Netflix  called "Virgin River" you might want to give it a try. Louise and I both enjoy it. Good story line and I tell Louise that it is very Hallmarky. Hope you and Doris are well

I will go with GOs answers except with #4 I am thinking that because the ball goes into the dugout the runner would be awarded 2nd base.

Not a question but I remember hearing something interesting back in September. You guys probably already know about this but back in September when Giancarlo Stanton was hit in the face by Mike Fiers it was ruled a strike as apparently he swung at the pitch, making the count 0-2. Because he couldn't continue Reed Johnson came in to pinch hit with an 0-2 count. Fiers then hit Johnson, who, it was ruled also swung at the pitch during the act of getting hit. So two batters both get HBP in the same at bat, and the end result is a strikeout. I wonder if that's ever happened before in MLB.

Another little bit of information about that at bat is Stanton also has the strikeout on his record.

5 OL starters who have never played together,  new OC with a new system and a DL that I do not believe can get to the QB.  5 - 11.  I will go to my room and cry now. :( :( :(

BBH Baseball Board / Re: OK Yankee fans What do ya think

Start by saying I am a lifelong Red Sox fan so you can take my opinion for what that may be worth.   It appears that the yanks are loading up again this year.  I Think Beltran will be a great addition to your team.  More so than Ellsbury.  As much as I liked Ells you have to wonder how long before he is on the DL with some sort of injury.  He seems to be brittle and doesn't play tough.  He missed over 200 games in the last 4 years.  I think the yanks need to address their starting staff.  Loosing Cano is a big hit but I can see why they couldn't resign him. 240 million for 10 years is way too much.

Looking forward to the upcoming year and hope the sox and yanks will be fighting for the division

Welcome to the board Erik.  You have found the best Giants fan board there is.  You will find a whole lot of knowledgeable, polite and friendly people here.  Just watch out for Lenn and Jimv.  They are old and tend to be grouchy.  =)) =)) =))

There are some fans in the Albany area and will introduce themselves.

Actually Bill, this trade may keep us from jumping off the bridge.  Although I hate seeing AG go, I am happy to see the other 3 gone.  Beckett has been horrible this year and I believe he is a disruptive force in the clubhouse.  Crawford has never produced in Boston anywhere like he did in TB and Punto is just a bad baseball player.  The biggest plus in this deal is the money that will be freed up so perhaps the Sox can aquire a player or two that will help to rebuild this team.

I'm sorry I missed the big bash at George's place, but glad I made it to the Barnsider on Friday night to say hello to my old friends and meet some new ones.

I know this has been said many times, but if you're on the fence about attending one of these get-togethers, just do it.

I agree Kevin.  It was a pleasure meeting old and new alike!!
