Anyone need a Parking Pass for the Fins' game on Oct 30th?  I've got one.

I'm NOT a PSL holder.  But, I have two tix to the Aug 22 pre-season game against the Bears.  Anyone interested?

I live in Gorham, Maine (10 miles west of Portland).

Good choice, Mike.  This board is really about Giant fans joining together and discussing their team pro & con.  NGTs are fine because it's still football.  NFTs are good because sometimes interesting things come up from time to time and are worthy of putting out there or put on the FP.  On a personal note, I'm really not interested in the politics or religion of any of my friends here on BBH.  The commonality we all have is the Giants.

Good answer, Mike.  But, why did you even start this thread, Phil?  I don't want to do anything rash with this thread but, if anyone else chimes in and things start getting bad, I'll zap the whole thing in the blink of an eye.

I thought I had already posted on this thread.  Somehow, it've must've gone into cyberspace.

About Webster...He certainly WAS a star.  They played the full backfield the, he & Gifford at HB & Mel Triplett at FB.

Others I remember...Choo Choo Roberts; Eddie Price; Harmon Rowe & Otto Schnellbacher (half of the "Umbrella D backfield); the Poole brothers - Jim, Ray & Barney, all from Ole Miss; Bill Swiacki.  Just some oldies who wer among my earlier heroes on the Giants.

Great thread!  I remember Timberlake but to be perfectly honest, I have no recollection of how putrid he was as a kicker.  Oh well... Redfaced

Giants History / Re: Taxi squad question

The wikipedia description of "Taxi Squad" as printed by afan56 IS the correct version.  All the teams had a "Taxi Squad" back in the 40s & 50s.  I can't remember when they actually turned into "Practice Squads."
