Big Blue Huddle / Re: NFT - NY Knicks - 2023-2024

They are a young team hitting their stride. They really came on at the end of the year last season. With all their young talent, they are the next ascending team. SGA is years away from moving on.

Yeah. SGA isn't going to be available for a while. They are a really good team now.

It is not worth making a trade unless you are trading for a top 5 player. KAT is a lateral move. So is Jaren Jackson Jr. Anthony Edwards would make sense, but he won't be available.

Giants History / Re: Dave Pagan passed away

I didn't know him, but my deepest sympathy to those of you who did.

He had more than one one drop and struggled to get open at all. The coaches didn't bench him because they had it out for him. He just doesn't separate well enough.

He's dependable to be in the right place. And he's a try hard guy. I don't see the separation. I believe Hodgins replacing him was a key part of the passing game getting better towards the end of the season. I think the staff shares this opinion as they did not activate him for several games the 2nd half of the season.

Amazing that Daboll was able to produce wins with David Sills getting playing time. He's not an NFL caliber WR.

I don't think the Giants were bad against the pass last year. The ability to get off the field on third downs demonstrated that. Run defense was one of the worst I can ever remember. But I do think they took steps to fix that.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on August 04, 2023, 08:27:30 AMI know we are all pumped for the offense but statistically we were horrible against the run and pass last season defensively and to have a great season we need the D to take a bigger leap than the offense in my opinion.

I think Hyatt and Shep both could certainly threaten the playing time of Hodgins. Campbell is the clear number 1 slot with Beasley behind him.

I think he will start at some point this season. Just not right way. I see a Nicks arc. Remember how in 2009 he really came on as the season progressed. I think it may be similar with Hyatt.

He's on the Non football injury list. Working on the side.

Quote from: PSUBeirut on July 29, 2023, 06:09:38 PMI've not seen anything at all written about Crowder- is he there?  Practicing?  Hurt?  Or maybe I've just not looked hard enough.  I've been interested to see how he'd look and if he was back to full health.
