Quote from: MightyGiants on January 14, 2024, 08:25:56 PMFor a long, long time, it has seemed like Dallas is usually one of the most talented teams in the league. They do quite well in the regular season, and then they get bounced quickly in the playoffs. Why do you think that it keeps happening?I'll take the 12 wins for three years. Every win is a good day. But to answer the question, they come to play with a passion for some games and other games they are flat. Look at their schedule. They usually feast on bad teams and play close to good teams. I think some of it falls on Prescott who has great games and folds under pressure. He had opportunities today to come back and he missed seeing open Receivers. I felt that if Aaron Rodgers was in the game, Dallas at least comes a lot closer.

Quote from: T200 on January 14, 2024, 08:18:41 PMI can't say that I hate Dallas. I admired what Jimmy Johnson did with them. Jerry did Jimmy dirty and his punishment is to never win another championship.

Quote from: BluesCruz on January 14, 2024, 10:23:54 AMI dont think these types of subjects would start if we were not 6-11 and sinking like the TitanicDid you ever see the Seinfeld episode where George does and says the complete opposite of what he would normally do?
Im done with losing. There is a reason these other HCs dont wallow in losing or building losing cultures. A reason they are chasing Don Shula and not chasing Joe Judge. Schoen/Daboll are emlulating Joe Judge so far
Can they get back on track? Not with Jones at QB. There is a 80% likelihood Jones will lead us back to a losing record.
I dont care how much money he is owed. The position can be upgaded by just motioning DeVito to put his helmet on
Quote from: MightyGiants on January 14, 2024, 10:19:49 AMIt's hard to say. I will say that I personally believe that draft success is 50/50. Half of it is talent identification and acquisition and the other half is player development. The problem is that from the outside looking it, one is challenged to see what is causing/contributing to a prospect's success or failure. What players that remained or left had an upswing in production from the Joe Judge regime to the Daboll team and as FA's that moved on? It's obvious Dex did as he was put in his proper position. Okereke had a better year here. Some of the O line who left faired better. Jones was up and down. Saquon, had injury issues. Slayton did better as did Engram away. The O line regressed with the exception of Thomas. Adoree went downhill. Can you compare the PFF Judge results total Offense and Total Defense to the two years of Daboll? Not player by player just total O&D separately for each of the four years. You can include special teams. Would we assume there are better players for Daboll? I think in some cases yes and some no.
