After Sebring, we headed up to Orlando for a couple of days with the Mouse. Went to Magic Kingdom and stayed for the nightly fireworks. It is a spectacular show!

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. This was the view from our room...

We were down in Florida a couple of weeks ago for the IMSA sports car races in Sebring. Three days of racing, culminating in the 12 Hour race on Saturday. We hadn't been to Sebring since 2019 - the world shut down the week before the 2020 race, so we were looking forward to this one.

We had snow, sleet, and freezing rain on Sunday. It was the first time Jake got to play in snow, and he had a blast!

Sorry, I'm coming a little late to this. Have you looked to see if there are any rental agencies that serve the area? We go to the NC Outer Banks frequently, and several times have rented a house on the beach. There are several realty agencies in the OBX that handle rentals like that, you can look up properties on their web site, book dates and pay online. They handle housekeeping between guests, maintenance, and the like. Yes, you may pay more than if you rented directly from the owner, but as you said, you need to be sure you aren't being scammed, and going through a reputable agency, they have vetted the property and deal with any issues that may arise.

I forgot to mention, we also watched the new movie on prime about Lucy and Desi, Being the Ricardo's, I believe on Prime.
Yes, that's on Amazon Prime. We watched it a week or two ago, and really enjoyed it. Of course, I've been a fan of everything Aaron Sorkin has done, and this didn't disappoint.

Much of the area is dog-friendly, and in Duck, dogs are permitted on the beach off-leash. Jake, our Australian Shepherd, loves playing on the beach!

We're in the Outer Banks of North Carolina this week, rented a place on the beach in Duck. Yesterday morning, we saw dolphins playing in the ocean.

Shrimp boat out last night.

Last night's sunset over the sound.

We always get a little bit of an air show along the beach!

One of my favorite places to shoot, especially at night, Bodie Island Lighthouse.

Star trails - 475 images over 3 1/2 hours stacked together. The light streak along the horizon is that shrimp boat.

We had a nice pass of the International Space Station over Charlotte tonight, with great weather to see it.

Also, with tonight's Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus (upper left to lower right)

Thank you! We hope to get back out there again, it's only about 20 minutes from my place.

We learned of a pair of bald eagles nesting in a park near Charlotte. We took a ride there this morning, and found them working on their nest.

Weekend before last we took a ride up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was just about peak colors in the area.

This is the Linn Cove Viaduct, a quarter-mile section of the BRP wrapped around Grandfather Mountain. It is built on seven piers to avoid damage to the mountain.
