What agenda? Yours or mine.

Are yo7 say8ng jalen hurts was 90% of the equation for the eagles last year?

No it's not.

It's a big part. Coaching, blocking, getting open and health are major factors as well.

Quote from: kingm56 on November 13, 2023, 08:26:36 PMWith all this talent, why were they the NFLs worst team over the last 3 years?  You do realize they were 11-38-1, right?

Coaching matters. Their OC is a shanahan disciple and it really aggressive.

Listen I am not saying stroud hasn't played very well, but there's a lot of parts in thst equation that work and the drafting of Dell and pick of Schultz have been very helpful.

Are the backups playing poorly? It doesn't matter who plays, it matters how the play, right?

Williams is my number 1 and by a good distance.

Yeah I didn't include any of schoens draft picks even though a few are on notice for next year.

But your elder guys have shown they are either not it or replaceable.

Look at Pinnock vs Love. I think Pinnock will be a much better player. Maybe Owens steps in and does as well as mckinney?

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 13, 2023, 10:42:53 AMAs for us losing to the Pats, we nearly beat the Bills in Buffalo as well as the Jets, both of whom are better, so as bad as things look right now I don't think it's some lock that we'd lose to the pats with both teams trying their hardest. They suck too.

Never underestimate the power of Danny Devito!

Yes. Has a lot of great traits. His team isnt very good this year. But he has a strong arm. Mobile. A lot of Josh Allen to his game.

they are an average team. They lost to Carolina.

Not long.

I am not bullish on this class as everyone seems to be.

Williams and Maye are my clear top 2 QBs.

Daniels seems to flying up the boards with his huge year and traits. Very fast, quick release. However, the SEC defenses stink this year and I question can he make the tight throws in the pockets.

McCarthy is still a huge question mark based off Michigans schedule and style of play that is not open to QBs.

Penix, Nix are not franchise QBs. Their success is dependent on horrible defensive play in the Pac 12 and the have been in college forever. Nix has serious mobility issues and injury history. Nix just seems to be a very good college QB who really struggled in the SEC.

Ewers is interesting but he has been hurt a lot and has been inconsistent.

If we have a top 2 pick, take WIlliams or Maye. Ifyou fall in love with Daniels - so be it. He is interesting and has some really nice traits.

I would argue that if the in house fighting continues and Daboll continues to act like a child - he isnt safe.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 13, 2023, 10:28:27 AMThe week 18 game at Met Life against the Eagles worries me. If the Eagles have zero to play for in that game, they will likely to screw the Giants out of picking in the top two. We know they're shady about throwing games and, let's face it, it would be in their interest to not want Maye or Williams landing in the NFC East. So I think that's a huge worry.

The Pats also worry me a great deal as far as jockeying for those top two spots go. Our game against them will be interesting.

I still think the Pats will be a loss cause they are in every game and have played well for stretches of games at a time. Their problem is their Jones messes up when it matters most. But we will get outcoached in that game. Not worried about that one.

As far as week 18, if we dont tank worse than the Eagles - thats a huge problem - especially if the number 1 pick is on the line.

Quote from: EDjohnst1981 on November 13, 2023, 10:16:03 AMI get what you are saying with "their own QB" but ultimately, they have to own that horrific contract.

They can't be fully absolved. They didn't choose Jones. But they extended him. Which arguably, for the state of the franchise is a worse decision than drafting him.

The contract isnt a disaster people are making it out to be. Its a two year deal coming off a playoff year where we won a game. It is not crippling us in the roster build up. Besides - with this GM - maybe less money to spend is a good thing with the decisions he has made so far.

Both coordinators would go IMO. I mean Bobby Johnson is as good as gone as well I would assume.

Schoen and Daboll both have a case to be fired, but if you are going to give them a chance at their OWN QB - he better be a difference maker and fast. Because another 3-4 win season wont save their jobs.

Big Blue Huddle / next year Vets - stay or go

Forget contracts and 1st and 2nd year players. What should the team do with the following players:

Barkley - let him go. Good player, but constantly hurt and not the difference maker we thought he would be.
Slayton - let go.
Campbell - do not re-sign
Glowinski - he is as good as gone
Bredeson - keep because he has experience
Pugh - so long
Shepard - so long
McKinney - Don't let the door hit ya...
Ojulari - sorry , just never healthy. Have to send away or possibly trade
Adoree - goodbye
Ward - good bye
Holmes - good bye
Brieda - see ya
Lemieux - long gone
Peart - long gone
Taylor - do not re-sign
Jones - he has one more year because of his contract.

As you can see, this is a sad, sad state of affairs the Giants are in right now.
