Thankfully Jonas Salk and his teams Polio vaccine was not politicized back then.

A 12 year old player on one of the in town baseball teams I coach went in for his checkup / covid shot and got an earful for being 278 and about 5' tall.  he decided to start run/walk 1 mile a day but was struggling with the drive to be consistent, the other kids comments, etc.

I'm 49 yr old,  6'5" 310 lbs and have avoided planned, regimented physical activity outside of cutting wood and country chorus for too long.  I told him I would do it every day as well. Each night at the ballpark we check in with each other.  For the past 4 weeks (not very long I realize) I run and walk in intervals. I started at 1 mile and I am now just over 2 miles.  I have missed 3 days to date.

Not very much I realize and I have not lost any weight but I can run much faster and feel better doing it than 4 weeks ago.  I have been fairly pleased with my progress.

My oldest is starting me on weights soon.

The amount of water that goes to Almond Farms in California is disproportionately obscene. As Forest Gump would say..."and that's all I have to say about that".

Not to mention how hard it is to milk an almond, its almost impossible!

BTW-Science is about nothing other than the quest for knowledge through the Scientific Method.

It's about an approach that takes a question, conducts research, develops a hypothesis, test the hypothesis, makes unbiased observations,  analyze results and draw a conclusion only to have the whole transparent process evaluated by presenting your findings.

This method is the single greatest development by man ever, period.

What editorialized TV and radio productions have done to warp the masses view of science by exploiting  their limited education and capacity is shameful.

Nothing political about this thread   /sarcasm/

Stop pretending you are discussing topics, when all that is occurring, thread after thread, is taking the same BS talking points from the outside world and infusing them into the BBH.

I personally think that the whole ID position by the "woke"  left and Dems is completely disingenuous and really insidously racist.  Like black people cant figure out how to get ID????  Really???? How extremely insulting.  You need ID for booze and cigarettes, ID to rent a hotel or car, ID at the bank, ID at the doctors office, ID to pick up tix at a will call window, ID to get a plane or train ticket, ID to get a freakin' COVID shot, etc, etc. But you don't need ID to vote...that is just plain Bull Crap and added to that, the misrepresentation of the law by the President and by the main stream media is a disgrace.

Its all about implementation in my opinion.

Here is Wisconsin after the ID Law was passed in 2011, the State Closed 16 DMV centers that provide the needed ID's to the public.  The offices were located in traditional lower income  democratic geographical locations.

The voting ID's had to be free to be constitutional and several facilities were caught charging or turning people away.  Not a ton but just another layer of the implementation problem.

The concept of the ID is fine IMO, based on a very limited voter fraud history in Wisconsin it was arguably unnecessary and more grandstanding than anything.  Either way, the way it was implemented was not fair. to all.

With all the recounts Wisconsin has experienced in the past 20 years each has served as a an audit of the election protocols, there simply was not fraud that justified it.

I'm fine with it but lets not pretend it was not needed in Wisconsin based on past elections.

I had under 24 hours, so I lost my bet on this, but I think it's time for the Mods to kill this thread.

Slugs- just because you don't understand something does not mean it is not true.

DaveBrown- this page had its own political section for years. the rules we have in place evolved because of what occurred when politics could be discussed.

Giatnsrevival - Welcome to the board, you seem to be throwing xxxx against the wall to see what sticks.  Clean up your content and delivery or i will.
