Qb's are more mobile thus are more susceptible to hits despite the league coddling them, and in addition to league wide mediocre to poor OL play. More protections has led to more injuries. A paradox for certain. The league has in the last several years have actually diminished their product by changing the game from what it is, a COLLISION, CONTACT sport that at times can be violent. All for the sake of the owners cya, and the pursuit of the casual fan who wouldn't know the difference between a football and an egg, both being oval. The change in the CBA cutting down practice times has diminished the amount of time players can train/prepare for hitting, and being hit.
