When I saw him last, he looked much better with his decision making against the Eagles. Granted, their back seven were awful, but he did engineer a 92-yard drive to win the game.

Daboll should help him, too. He fits a need-vet backup. Would you rather have Zach Wilson.. Redfaced ? Lol.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: RB Devin Singletary To Giants
March 12, 2024, 11:17:03 PM
Watching tape on Singletary and he has good vision plus cutback ability. Isn't spectacular but solid. Avoids tackles for loss. Lots of outside/inside zone schemes for him with Texans.

And he stays healthy!

Yes, when Jones is ready. I thought that goes without saying. Hearing of his work ethic, I wouldn't be surprised if he is ahead of schedule.

Quote from: katkavage on March 12, 2024, 06:59:55 PMSo we are looking at a Drew Lock-led Giants in 2024?

No, its not a Lock. Jones will be the starter, no matter what I want-qb of the future. Don't want JJ at 6, so why not take a star receiver? Sans OBJ, rather unheard of, I know, for our heroes.

As recent drafts clearly show, taking qbs early is not shooting fish in a barrel.

I hope the Giants pick either Nabers or Odunze-both potential stars. If Maye were to fall to 6, the phone will be likely ringing off the hook with suitors. That seems very unlikely, however.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Giants sign Jalen Mills

Quote from: Stringer Bell on March 12, 2024, 06:13:23 PMI don't think there's any chance they spend their only second rounder on a safety.

Between Mills and Belton, they are covered this year. Not to mention, there's no value at the position in that part of the draft.

Right now, the top 2 picks will be some combo of WR, CB, DT, OL.

Upon further review, I see your point. Kareem Kinchens was the safety I really liked and he's long gone to the Bills or Niners.

On the whole, he's purely a backup that can fill in. Giants did what they said: sign a vet backup. He has a strong arm but very different than DJ.

DeVito still can make the roster. With so many injuries around the league last year, it's very likely they'll keep 3 qbs, especially with Jones.

Still think safety will be a day 2 target.

Quote from: EliWasrobbed on March 11, 2024, 11:09:39 PMi know plenty sir, no need to be a dick.

defensively after the Burns move we are much better.. BUT assuming we don't draft a QB, this will be potentially the worst offense of 21st century football even with our 2 oline additions. Save this post!

Okay, simply check the 64, 66 and 73 Giants..who were godawful. Hyperbole is  so grand.

Ha ha. You don't know anything. Calm yourself. Been plenty worse in my lifetime.

Zero confidence in Neal doing anything but eating and staying clueless. Hello!

Just confirmed. 3 years..36 mil

Bears get a good back..not great.still only 25. They have tons of cap room, but signing him and Byards is rather middling. Guess they're looking to replace Fields'running yardage

Wilson is clearly on the downside of his career. He's the desperate one. Getting a lifeline from the Steelers is not surprising, but will he be able to phone a friend when he gets there later? :D

Tyrod I wish I could trust to stay healthy, but he's made of glass. The others? Cant disagree with them much, although I was hoping Simmons could fit in.
