There are definitely mental illness issues going on with him. The last incident happened in 2021 and I don't know why it's necessary to bring this up now. Hopefully, he's gotten help because a man that size can do serious harm to anyone when he goes off.

It's certainly going to be discussed in his interviews and it will be considered in his evaluation for many teams if not all. I don't know enough about him yet to make any definitive statements as to his resilience and intestinal fortitude. He's a gifted Athlete among some inferior talent but the game speeds up exponentially at this level. He's still going to be drafted in the top three when all is said and done.

Just a guessing game as to who starts and when. Let's get the Franchise QB on the team first.

I agree but I believe he has a ceiling due to his heavy feet. He can offset that by becoming more of a beast in Run Blocking.

I listen to Bears radio a lot and plenty want Fields gone. It may be a forgone conclusion regardless of how he plays.

He was erratic and regressing before his injury and never demonstrated pocket oresence and consistency.

If the Bears have #1 or 2 pick courtesy of the Panthers; I think they take a qb..move Fields.
I didn't know he was that unpopular. With two picks it's a plausible theory. Especially when they have an excellent rushing attack.

Quote from: squibber on November 10, 2023, 09:55:59 AMWhat I liked about Encounters are the large number of eye witnesses for the sightings in Texas, an African school and a British school.

What did sound hoaky was the alleged message given to the African students about caring for the earth. But then again maybe the alien's plan is to slowly get humans more comfortable and ready for contact in the future.

I'm not 100% convinced of alien life on earth. I want solid proof.
I've never seen a UFO that I can say for certain. With all the billions of planets estimated to be in a Goldilocks zone that supports water and is temperate in this vast universe with billions of galaxies light years away, we are a grain of sand. However one night I saw something that was very high moving faster than one of our aircrafts and then speed up and disappear. It couldn't have been a comet or asteroid.

There are theories that these UAP's come from another dimension and there is one where they live here among us underground and in the oceans.

The one documented sighting that I do believe is the Navy Aviator, Commander Fravor. These were the tick tack shaped crafts off the West Coast and he gave testimony to the bipartisan Congressional task force on UFOs and UAPs.

Quote from: Sem on November 10, 2023, 09:46:34 AMOK, well my bad then. From your previous posts on the subject I assumed you had more than a passing interest in the UFO/UAP phenomenon.
I do. I just wasn't captivated by this show. Although I haven't finished the series.

Quote from: uconnjack8 on November 10, 2023, 08:42:03 AMNot so sure about that.  Fields hasnt made the kind of progress in year 3 that makes you say he's definitely the guy.  Why not pick a QB at #1 and trade the 2nd pick, or even draft a difference maker at another position?
I think it depends on how he finishes the season. If he plays like he did against Washington and Denver, then they may decide to keep him. I agree that this is his pivotal year.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 10, 2023, 09:26:21 AMFor sure. I know the above won't be team policy.

With that said, from a health/well-being perspective, with nothing to play for, I would hope they don't deliberately rush him back. I would say that even if we weren't in the running for a QB.
On a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest, please rank DJ, TT, TD, and Barkley.

I would rank them:
Jones 7
Taylor 7
Tommy 5
Barkley 3

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 10, 2023, 09:24:24 AMI think Arizona will win a game or two (at least) when Murray comes back. Murray is not elite, but he's not bad. He's way better than what they've had to this point.

With that said they clearly want to move on from him and want a top QB, plus their owner doesn't seem like someone with any scruples, so they may still find a way to tank.
If Murray wins a game, he goes on IR with a hangnail.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on November 10, 2023, 07:10:13 AMNo rush, please. Season is over and losses help now, not hurt. The "winning culture" crap is a bunch of nonsense. You don't build a winning culture by fighting tooth and nail to be 5-12 instead of 3-14. That's idiotic. We need to be in the best draft position possible, period.
Purely a fan's perspective.
