"I would liked to have seen Montana."

Good one Jim. I'll wait and see if anyone else knows this.

Today's word was tricky.

After using my regular 3 words I only had 2 letters and spent enough time juggling them.

Having 2 v's is pretty unusual but I did get it on the 5th line.

See how many you remember?

From the mid 50's on, I can remember most of them.

Any other '1 sts' that you can recall?

WOW

And I thought we were going to have to wait until the Fall to see how it all ends. April is just a shade away.

Good pick up Tim. I never would have recognized her.

The thought of trying to watch all 7 episodes as soon as they drop in a way id dissappointing. Yes, I can't wait but then it's all over all too soon. Sometimes I wish they dropped them one a week to keep us talking about it for a couple of months.

#3 is from "The Jerk' with Steve Martin
I'm going to take a guess at #1 and say "The Outlaw Josie Wales"

You are on your game Lou.

#2 should be an easy one for any of us 'seniors'

Don't want to give away too much as Jim should know this one in a minute, but if you follow many of my comments on all time favorite movies, this is from my #1.

I know it was a white guy that said it. Gene Wilder immediately came to mind. The only other person that I can think of is Steve Martin. Can't remember the movie though.

As I said, I found this link to just a few of those terrible movies that many think are watchable and funny.

In the meantime:

"Down Ares!  Up Mars!"

 Retirement in Arizona vs. Florida

four old retired men are walking down a street in Yuma, Arizona. They turn a corner and see a sign that says, "Old Timers Bar - ALL drinks 10 cents." They look at each other and then go in, thinking this is too good to be true.
The old bartender says in a voice that carries across the room, "Come on in and let me pour one for you! What'll it be, gentlemen?" There's a fully stocked bar, so each of the men orders a martini. In no time the bartender serves up four iced martinis shaken, not stirred, and says, "That'll be 10 cents each, please." The four guys stare at the bartender for a moment, then at each other. They can't believe their good luck. They pay the 40 cents, finish their martinis, and order another round.
Again, four excellent martinis are produced, with the bartender again saying, "That's 40 cents, please." They pay the 40 cents, but their curiosity gets the better of them. They've each had two martinis and haven't even spent a dollar yet.
Finally one of them says, "How can you afford to serve martinis as good as these for a dime apiece?" "I'm a retired tailor from Phoenix," the bartender says, "and I always wanted to own a bar. Last year I hit the Lottery Jackpot for $125 million and decided to open this place. Every drink costs a dime. Wine, liquor, beer it's all the same."
"Wow! That's some story!" one of the men says.
As the four of them sip at their martinis, they can't help noticing seven other people at the end of the bar who don't have any drinks in front of them and haven't ordered anything the whole time they've been there.
Nodding at the seven at the end of the bar, one of the men asks the Bartender, "What's with them?"
The bartender says, "They're retired people from Florida.
They're waiting for Happy Hour when drinks are half-price . . ."

Great choice Lou. I do remember that movie and I also remember, like you said, what the hell was Milland thinking when he agreed to make this one? Just a hoot to watch even if it was made to be serious.

Tim

I may be wrong but I thought Omar wasn't a fan of Javi. Yes they are related and he did say what you said about family, but didn't he also tell others Javi was looking to take over the cartel and he wouldn't trust him one bit?. He was very wary of Javi .

I never before felt so out of it in this thread.  I've never seen any of the movies you're now talking about.  But keep it up.  I'm really liking it.

Don't want you to feel left out Jim. I know the movies and the kind of movies you like. Some of these are a bit more modern, but never-the-less great movies and knowing you, some you would really like.

I don't think you are a Matrix kind of guy, but a movie like 'The Usual Suspects' which is a sort of crime drama with a real twist for an ending, I know you would like. No blood or guts, no sex, just a good story, and great acting and that ending--wow

It's certainly a saying I have heard before, but I am not aware which movie it's from. Is it from one of the Godfather movies?

Great job Dave, it IS from The Godfather.
