Stroud's game against an amazing Georgia defense was enough for me. He was unreal against the very best college has to offer.

I am of the belief that most QBs should get to the pros as soon as they can because college coaching of QBs is mostly terrible. Allar could be an example of that. Anthony Richardson certainly was.

Wentz is an example of how you treat people mattering. He's well known to be an ass. No one one wants a marginal player who is a terrible person.

Franklin winning a big game? Yeah. Sure.

Judge never had a year when he made the playoffs. He was a tyrant who made his team run laps after practice for no reason. Multiple players retired rather than stay on the team. He had a complete meltdowm in a press conference. Multiple GMs were going to refuse to interview if he stayed the coach. Not a comparable situation at all.

Quote from: Giant Obsession on November 07, 2023, 07:39:02 AMYou do realize that the circumstances in your post apply basically in total to Joe Judge's tenure.  And forget the QB sneak to prevent a safety in the first half of the Washington game.  That game and Judge's last 4 games were unwinnable since he was saddled with DeVito like talent at QB....who were those guys anyway and where are they now ??

Franchise QBs turn teams around all the time. If they are the right guy.

Daboll knows it is pointless to yell at a try hard guy with absolutely no talent.

Blaming Kafka or really any coach for this mess seems ridiculous to me. Daniel Jones was terrible. The OL was injured and terrible. No amount of coaching could have made up for that. And now we will have a QB who doesn't even belong on an NFL roster. Kafka and Daboll didn't forget how to coach since last season. Get them a real QB and add players to the OL and a lot of progress will be made next season.

WE get Caleb or Drake Maye and we'll be a lot better quicker than most think. Just look at the difference Stroud is making for the Texans.

No one thought Jones and Bennett were going to be great. Most people didn't think Bennett would even get drafted. Mac Jones was always thought of a borderline prospect. These guys aren't even in the same area code as the top prospects in this draft.

DeVito is terrible. He had no idea what he was seeing. He moved into sacks where there was no pressure. He showed he doesn't have the arm for this league. He's not even a decent third QB. He doesn't belong in the NFL. Hope he starts the rest of the way to help us earn the top pick in the draft. Playing him is sure to help in this regard.

Jones threw that ball completely out of bounds instead of to the open space straight down the sideline. Sanchez always makes excuses for QBs. Hyatt ran a great route and Jones made a horrid throw. Then the next throw, he completely over throws him when he had his guy beat by 3 steps. But sure. That's Hyatt's fault. Nothing is ever the fault of the QB. Let's make more excuses.
#253
I just could not disagree more with this criticism of Kafka.
#254
They should have had a TD on the first drive. Jones missed a wide open Hyatt. The problem is the QB, not the OC. This need by fans to blame coaches when the players are missing plays that are there is a freaking epidemic.

Hyatt beat his guy deep 4 times in the first half alone and is somehow a goat. PFF is on crack.
