Let me re-phrase, 1st tie-breaker for draft is SOS.

3. If ties exist in any grouping, such ties shall be broken by figuring the aggregate won-lost-tied percentage of each involved club's regular-season opponents and awarding preferential selection order to the club that faced the schedule of teams with the lowest aggregate won-lost-tied percentage.

4. If ties still exist, apply the Divisional, Conference or Interconference tie-breaking methods, whichever is applicable.

Quote from: EDjohnst1981 on December 11, 2023, 11:29:13 PMFor his 4th career start, and in prime time, where people can disappear, he did everything expected for him.

I'd be interested to see just what he can do with a proper off season under his belt.

~160 yards passing is "everything expected for him."?  I mean, I know the standard around here has dropped, but let's be serious.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on December 11, 2023, 10:52:14 PMI'm not proposing that he is the long term solution. I just think the play of him and Taylor this year behind the same O line and with the same receivers (except he doesn't have Waller) highlights just how bad Jones has been.
He has 105 yards passing.  With 6 minutes left in the GAME, not the 1st qtr or half.

I guess the Giants deserve credit for the missed FG?  Someone will say the D made a play on 3ed down to force a longer attempt.  I will respond 1) an NFL kicker still needs to make that kick and 2) had they not let GB march down the field they would not need to "come up big" on 3rd down.  Carry on.

On that drive, he looked like a QB.

Quote from: Uni on December 11, 2023, 11:26:54 AMIt only applies if there are two teams with the same record. If there are more than two teams, it is purely based on SOS.
I dont think that is the case for the draft.  Think is is strictly SOS.

Quote from: T200 on December 11, 2023, 10:21:56 PMOK, so it looks like we have two for "Giants get no credit for making plays."  :ok:  :surrender:
I get it, the team sucks and you just want something to smile about when it comes to this team.  But giving the Giants "credit" for that play?  Does Green Bay give the punter credit for "hitting" McCain with the ball to force the turnover?

Quote from: T200 on December 11, 2023, 10:13:07 PMNo, but they did force the fumble and recover it and eventually scored a TD. They get credit for that.
Come on.  The GB PR has absolutely NO business trying to get up after he recovered the initial muff.  Plays like that can get a guy benched and/or cut.

Still trying to figure out what the GB PR was thinking getting back up after he recovered his muff.
