Trading any assets off in a lost season would be dumb. This season is lost. They should be building for the future. Not trading away picks.

They are not going to be able to allocate a ton of money to the position because of all the money they need to pay Jones and a top 2 pick. So it will have to be a guy on the cusp of being a 2 or a 3.

Oh please. They dialed up perfect plays before Jones got hurt and he couldn't make the plays. Then he was playing with a QB who should not be in the NFL. Daboll and Schoen's mistake was hitching their wagons to Jones. Luckily they can get out of that and draft a real franchise QB. This is a great opportunity of the organization.

Quote from: Giant Jim on November 06, 2023, 06:51:35 AMI didn't think that until yesterday. The losses to the Jets & Buffalo could've been prevented by coaching, but could be part of learning for the head coach. Yesterday's fiasco in inexcusable.

He does not have an NFL arm. He has a noodle arm. And his athletic ability is very limited. He has shown nothing to demonstrate he can be a real QB. He even sucked at Syracuse. NFL reps will not make passes 10 yards underthrown be on target.

Quote from: Jaime on November 06, 2023, 01:09:44 AMLet DeVito get some Reps. This will be his 1st week of getting Starter's Reps.
He's got an NFL arm and he has the legs that can move the chains.
He'll get Hyatt the ball.
Daboll being unable to motivate this Team is a much bigger concern to me.

Caleb played a great game last night. He made throws that Jones can only dream of. But he doesn't play defense, so he came up small. Some of what I read here is amazing.

Some on this site love DeVito, thought he was better than Tyrod and don't like Caleb Williams. One reason jumps right out at me. Hope I'm wrong about that reason.

Quote from: AYM on November 05, 2023, 07:44:34 PMI think we've possibly won too many games to get him anyway.

I don't think we win another. I think the teams ahead of us will. So who knows. I think we'll be bad enough to at least get Drake Maye.

Hyatt could have caught 4 TDs today or close to it if the Giants QBs are weren't horrible.

Quote from: sooners56 on November 05, 2023, 07:22:20 PMWRs are open. QBs are trash

Caleb has to score 50 in most games to be competitive. Some of the stuff I see people write about here seems nuts to me. He's an elite prospect.

Maybe everyone can stop talking about DeVito and realize that preseason football is not real football. People here actually wanted him to be the backup instead of Tyrod. DeVito will be lucky to be on practice squads the rest of his life. He does not have an NFL arm.
#266
He's terrible. He does not have an NFL arm at all. As we just saw on that massive underthrow to Hyatt that got intercepted.
#267
Yes and the Jets would have had that 2nd pick if they lost out. Instead they got Freeman McNeil. A nice running back, but nothing more.

Quote from: Giant Jim on November 05, 2023, 08:43:53 AMThe Giants got him with the 2nd pick. There hasn't been a player that good since, except possibly Brady.

If Jones played in the Jets game, there is a good chance they would have lost by more. Just look at the Seattle game. His two turnovers handed Seattle 14 points in a game our defense played very well in. This may have happened against the Jets.

Once DeVito was in and we had the lead, it was called the right way completely. 7 things had to go wrong in the last 30 seconds and overtime to lose that game. I 100 percent believe in this coaching staff with the exception of the OL and Special Teams coach.

Quote from: Jaime on November 02, 2023, 11:47:11 PMFire the entire Staff except for Wink :boooo:
Watching the Jets Game, I couldn't believe the Offensive Play Calling.  I mean, how could experienced, highly paid professionals call a Game like this?!?
