Imagine the drama if this kid gets hurt on Sunday. SMH

My rebuttal:

Tyrod Taylor's snap to injury count in the regular season for the Giants is like 25 snaps to each injury.

The idea that he gives us a better chance than Tommy just based on that assertion (which is an educated guess by me in all fairness) alone is erroneous.

Quote from: uconnjack8 on December 04, 2023, 04:35:41 PMI am sure it has been asked, but why was the head of security on the sideline during the game?

Had the sound off during this and was wondering who the guy was.  Thought he was a coach at 1st.

I'm still holding out hope for him with better coaching/accountability.

He was great with Sabans' staff. I'm having a hard time believing that Schoen missed that bad.

Why must there always be drama when it isn't there? MEDIA!

They are starting DeVito because they are trying to evaluate his upside and ability to develop.
Imagine if he improves immeasurably each week until end of the season?!

Everyone who's paid attention knows how good Tyrod is. I like and respect him. That being said, he's also proven to be brittle. He's in his last year here so it makes sense that he is now the emergency option. Why risk getting him hurt again so he cannot get another job?

We're in a REBUILD fellow Giant fans. What do you do when you're rebuilding?! Evaluate young talent.

You can never have enough edge rushers. That's my pick.
Want to improve the OL? Start with the coach.

Quote from: brownelvis54 on December 01, 2023, 04:59:47 PMAgain, haven't watched much LSU at all this season. Watch I have been hearing about Malik Nabers, seems like he will be a top 7 pick, some have said he is better than Harrison Jr. Anybody watch LSU?

Also, since it looks like LSU has two WRs that will go in the 1st and the other late 1st early 2nd, does this tarnish Jayden Daniels hype in the upcoming draft?

IMO If Harrison is playing with Daniels instead of McCord, he runs away as the most productive WR in the country.

IMHO McCarthy is a pedestrian QB at best in the NFL. A HUGE RISK taken in the first few rounds.

I don't think we can take Schoen at his word vis a vis DJ.

He's regressed for the 2nd time in the mental part of the game. That's not something you can coach up. I don't see him as being anything more than a placeholder for the successor and an eventual back up.

Think they'd give us their 2nd round pick for DJ? LOL

Yes but Arians had the benefit of great QB play.

I agree with almost everything that's been expressed on this thread insomuch as we had very high expectations coming into this season. And yes, I have over 50 years invested as a fanatic.

One proviso: Were we not warned that the Giants would not be as good (record wise) as last season?

For me it wasn't the losses, it was the unwatchable, non competitive effort. While I realize there were some devastating and ill timed injuries which poured gas on the fire, but not one BUT TWO FORTY BURGERS laid on us by Jerrahs Boys??!!

That I cannot forgive.

Here's to a big bounce back in 2024!!

Quote from: Philosophers on November 28, 2023, 10:17:22 AMMichigan beat Ohio St not because of a QB but because of so many other things, many of them intangible.

I respectfully disagree with this statement:

McCord is a TERRIBLE QUARTERBACK who chokes at big moments. He has by far the best skill positions in the country, and is backed up by one of the top defenses in the country.

This game based on pure talent comparison should not have been close. Ohio State should've won by two touchdowns.

Their HC - QB lost the game.

Quote from: Uni on November 27, 2023, 02:18:53 PMDeVito made three stick throws in one game. I don't think Jones has done that in one season. Definitely none this season. The fact that DeVito threw downfield to Hyatt multiple times even if he wasn't wide open already makes him a better QB.
Definitely Ballsier (yes I don't think that's in Websters' but I think you get my point).

Quote from: Dgoodmantrublu on November 27, 2023, 02:13:55 PMThey were mediocre last year. Not great. But not nearly as terrible as the Jones followers wants us to believe. Still last in explosive pass plays.
My definition of mediocre is consistently average. The OL was better last year than this year, but they weren't consistently average.

DJ on the other hand WAS mediocre last year. Which is why we had an above average season.
