Big Blue Huddle / Re: Interesting thought from UKGiants

There is no doubt in my mind this has been a Coaching and GM failure. I'm not going to blame DJ for this colossal failure. This is in Daboll and Schoen. Schematically Daboll has been trash. This guy has forgot everything that made him successful last year. There is no way I would trust Daboll even with a new drafted QB. You know how many games Jones and Barkley bailed Daboll out in. It was Kafka calling the plays not Daboll last year. This year without the talent on the OLine Daboll and Kafka look like Amateurs. With a bad O line Daboll's coaching is garbage. Everyone else is going look the same.  The more you watch the teams Giants list to against other teams you see how poor the Giants O line is.
Everything revolves around the offensive line running, Quarterbacking, keeping the team's defensive side off the field. A good offensive line makes the teams defense better.
I'm so dissatisfied with Daboll and Schoen. This team and the scheme are so unprepared.

I'm glad Jones isn't playing I don't want him or even TT for that matter without an O-line out there. You're better off playing Danny DeVito out there. I feel sorry for any QB behind this O-line.

You play for the Giants because they are dumpster fire at the O-line. More opportunities to build on locking up a job and a long term contract. Simply put more opportunity to stand out against poor players.

30-10 Bills. I think the Bills try and get out of the game injury free once they take a good size lead and let backups play.

Quote from: madbadger on October 09, 2023, 01:44:53 PMIs there a bigger tease on this roster than Ojulari? He plays well when he's healthy but he's never healthy.

Who is this Injulari you speak of? Never heard of him and I'm a life long Giant fan.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on October 05, 2023, 08:54:07 AMNot going to blame him for what he decided to say? He's a fully grown man. He knows what he said.

Nobody here thinks he doesn't have a right to say what he wants. But I think people can judge him for it with justification.

Is it the end of the world? Of course not. Everyone makes mistakes. But for a guy who has been as bad as he has and who is making the money he is making despite being terrible on the field to choose to belittle blue collar fans who are paying his salary is in pretty poor taste and pretty poor judgment. And I personally feel he can be blamed for it. Who else is to blame? Was Toney also not to be blamed for his negative comments towards fans? His weren't nearly as bad, and how long did he last?

I don't buy that how many here have had a mic in their face after a frustrating night? The crap that would come out of most of the people mouths here would keep women and children away. People act as though they got answers, have people not learned what they have been taught in Church at the temples. He said something out of frustration we should be understanding and have Forgiveness in our heart.
To me Neil isn't the bad guy it's the reporter that's the bad guy. Something need not be reported. He used Neil's frustration to create an angle to get a story out and that to a story that was going to throw Neil under the bus for his gains.

I'm okay with Neil and what he said. It's his right, fans can say whatever they want. So Neil can too that is his right we have a thing called freedom of speech. You don't think this guy knows his play has been unexceptional. Everyone is frustrated including the players, it's their livelihood on the line. I'm a believer the media in NY makes it harder to play anything in NY. They love negativity and rants get far more hits than good times. I don't want Neil to apologize I want him to stick to his stance and not withdraw from it. Go out on the field and focus on his craft. Don't give the media any material because they live to tear people down. That reporter could have easily said this a young kid, if I post this it may ruin him and his career in NY.
I'm not going to blame Neil. He is a young kid, people need to stop the BS. Especially these Media guys who just want to sensationalize everything to the point of cancellation of the person.

Tiki was a great running back, yes he can be an over smart jerk with his mouth, Eli did shut it.  With that said do you want to be lied to? You all saw with your own eyes the effort level the Giants have been giving. We need honest to God truths in this world all around.

I'm going to give the SF game a pass because they were in it for most part on a short week out west for 2 weeks vs an elite team. The season start on Monday it's the 4th game rust and malaise of preseason should be over. Effort should be high from now until Super Bowl ends.

You think he would have done that in preseason.

Isn't Love dealing with hamstring issues? He would have fit right in with the rest of the Giants.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Is the issue expectations?
September 30, 2023, 11:23:23 AM
Lets look at the bright side the Giants have lost to the same teams they would have lost to last year. Beat the team they would have beat last year. Last year of their 7 losses 4 came against Eagle and Cowboys which looks like they will repeat this year unless they pull a rabbit out of their hat.

I don't think expectations is the reason they are not doing better in defense and offense. It's effort and a mentally tough attitude. Their offensive line is flat out soft they aren't playing with any nastiness they aren't driving their guy into the ground and sucking their will out of the opposition.
As for the defense they are soft. They don't play with an edge. Also they know Wink is going to blitz all the opposing team has to do is get rid of the ball fast as possible and get it into their play makers hands. The rest the Giant defense will assist by not tackling. They don't hit with aggressiveness with the intent of dislodging the football.

The team flat out is lacking the dawg mentality and they have no swag. The opponents are imposing their will on the Giants. Won't win many games with that. It's all effort.

Watching the 49ers and Eagles, I realize one thing about the Giants on the O-line we have no Dawgs. I think that went with Faliciano a D-bag type player. O-line needs to be a lot of bit nasty with execution.

Quote from: kingm56 on September 27, 2023, 08:34:36 AMWho would you identify as a tough-guy on the current Giants team?  In the past, we had Keith "Hammer" Hamilton, Rich Suebert, LT, etc...  We simply don't have that type of mentality on either side of the ball.

Just Dexter. He is the only one giving the type of effort and there is only so much he can do. I thought McFadden gave good effort last game. Guys like Ojulari have built a spot in my head as if this guy were out there and he is a good player. But he is never out there so he is like this built up player in my mind that never plays. They don't give great effort. Effort is everything in football. Without effort doesn't matter how much talent. Same goes for coaches to they have been awful so far.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: NFL Sack Leaders after 3 weeks

When you don't prepare in preseason for tackle football, you get unprepared players who are unwilling to put effort in. The defense is SOFT. You might as well put 11 rolls of Charmin out there on defense.
The preparation has been totally disappointing. This is on the coaches. With that said I am a believer that the real season doesn't start until the 4th game. Since they don't do much in preseason.

The other teams are playing tackle football and the Giants are playing two hand touch. You know how many plays I have seen the other defense give the Giants extra business during the tackle. They are literally trying to tear the ball away from the Giants players. I hate to say it but one thing in football that no one wants to be know as is "Soft".
