Love has been really bad so far in Seattle. 5 missed tackles and getting beat in coverage.

Banks can't play outside corner. He's a safety/slot. Very good player. I'd rather have Banks. Guy is gonna be our best corner since Mark Collins.

Branch isn't really a corner. More of a safety. Doesn't cover players on the outside. I wanted Banks from the get go and I am very happy with what we've seen so far.

Football is a sport where small sample sizes really distort stats like this. Just 1-2 different games would have the stats telling a very different story.

This thread is what I mean by taking PFF as facts. Just because their grades say something doesn't make it true. Herbert was good his rookie year. Their OL was a joke. He made his OL look better with his quick release. He's done the same in other years.

Herbert has often performed much better than Jones in similar circumstances. It's been 5 years. This team needs an upgrade at the position.

There is always an excuse.

It is way too early to give up on the 2022 draft anyway. We saw a lot of flashes of greatness from Kayvon last year. He hasn't been the same guy, but that isn't a reason to give up on him. Neal I'm worries about. Wan'Dale got hurt, but he had 100 yards in the game he hurt himself. Bellinger showed himself to be a very valuable piece. The idea that we should give up on that draft is silly. I feel like so many here would have called Carl Banks a bust. After all, he didn't really emerge until 1986.

Herbert's team has the same record. He's played much better than Jones. Chargers defense has blown games they should have won easily. There is not a GM in football who would rather have Jones than Herbert.

I used my eyes. He's terrible in coverage. Great blitzer. He's basically what Landon Collins was.

Having Adams play safety makes their pass defense worse. He is horrid in coverage.

Oh please. Schoen had a very good draft this year. His first year with his team in place. The overreaction is quite something.

Giants should get Barkley healthy and then trade him. Just like the Panthers did. Especially if this team is 2-4 after week 6.

I diverted this convo. I just can stand McNabb even though I'm probably closer to his opinion on Jones than to most Giants fans. Apologies.

Eli played in a complex downfield system. He had one year with a top ten defense. He had several seasons over 4k yards. And Eli was super clutch in the biggest moments. So much better than McNabb.

Quote from: madbadger on September 27, 2023, 03:14:43 PMDid Eli suck?
