Quote from: Rambo89 on September 30, 2023, 07:23:30 PMInvesting as much cap space into the QB position took away cap space from the surrounding players that according to your logic are more important than the QB position itself.

Ok it will be all Jones fault when they struggle cause he can't block or get open.

I'll save you 100 posts during the game thread. Just copy and paste it.

Quote from: Rambo89 on September 30, 2023, 05:42:13 PMThen I guess it was a dumb idea to pay Jones what the Giants did because he's not that important what's important are the players he is surrounded by using the argument you are.

Or maybe the front office screwed the pooch this off-season and it's last draft tools

They deserve criticism for this roster as well.

Quote from: Rambo89 on September 30, 2023, 04:25:02 PMThen maybe that position isn't nearly as important as it's made out to be if it's so dependent upon others.

So you're saying it's the QB job to block and run routes? That's just silly.

The giants OL without Thomas and the skill players without Barkley is arguably the worst in the league. Waller might be the only average player on the OL/skilled players. And he has stunk this year.

Expecting Jones to raise the level of play from these players is silly but I'm sure he will be blamed when we lose.

Quote from: Rambo89 on September 30, 2023, 03:55:05 PMIf you don't have any confidence in him any did they pay him?

Cause they do have confidence in him. He doesn't block or run routes.

Quote from: Ed Vette on September 30, 2023, 03:26:08 PMPlease share the site for team WR separation.

MightyGiants posted in earlier in the week that our starters ranked 98th, 130th, 133 in terms of separation out of 135 qualified players.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on September 30, 2023, 03:15:25 PMI get it, but we're not playing some juggernaut. If we need every single player on our team healthy in order to win a home game against the Seahawks off 10 days rest, then we're obviously not good to begin with.

Until the defense shows any semblance of stopping an offense - I don't think we will be. Hopefully we turn it around Monday Night.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on September 30, 2023, 03:08:48 PMSounds like there is no point in you even watching the game if you're that certain it is going to be a calamitous disaster.

Hopefully you also have plenty of cash on Seattle, who are only favored by 2 in this game.

Well we have a really bad defense
We have a really bad offensive line
Our best player isn't playing.

I am not sure what there is to be optimistic about?

Gonna be a long night.

They'll score at will. And we have a JV offense.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on September 30, 2023, 02:17:37 PMI would hope the guy we're paying $40mm a year to qualifies as "talent." If not, we have one hell of a problem on our hands.

People are so obsessed with the QB that they don't focus on other things.

31st in pass blocking
32nd in WR separation

The old saying that you can't make chicken salad out of chicken .....

Barkley out now too.

JV offense on another prime time game.

What talent is there on this offense? Especially without these 2? Lol

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on September 30, 2023, 11:41:42 AMOur line played fine without him against the Cards. This D is no better. This injury is important but our O can move the ball just fine without him in this game. This is a weak pass rush we're facing.

Hopefully he's able to go against Miami but I think our offense will be ok without him this week.

I'm sorry but I strongly disagree. Thomas is a premiere LT in the league and Ezuodu is a replacement level player. Whose film is now being more broken down. He was abysmal against SF.

Gonna be another long night for the offense.

With Buffalo and Miami coming up, season can be over very very quick.

The fact Daboll played him the majority of the Dallas game after he was injured is unjustifiable.

Our beat reporters are so bad at their jobs and never asked or pressed Daboll on it.

Im not trying to bring this down cause I like his game - but he hasn't finished 2 of 3 games this year lol

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on September 27, 2023, 12:41:19 PMand had a higher career QB rating than Eli Manning, who will be getting a gold jacket.

QB rating is probably the worst way to compare QBs. No offense but it's a plug and chug formula that doesn't take into context how the actual play performed.
