Quote from: Jclayton92 on March 14, 2024, 09:34:46 PMAgain, as I told you only a couple of days ago, there's no way on planet earth they are cutting Daniel Jones. I think Jones is a bad Qb with poor processing but he will be on this team this year.

If we cut him this season then we trigger 70 million in dead cap and -22 million immediately to the cap. I just told you that 3 days ago and yet you intentionally ignore it in an attempt to upset people.

I think Jones is horrible but this is actually a fascinating conversation that everyone could be talking about because reports that are coming out that the Giants want to let him ride the bench ala Wilson because it messes us up if he can't pass a physical when the new league year starts in 2025.

We however cannot have that or any conversation about Drew lock because you creating a thread trying to trigger people only makes it impossible to follow up with an actual conversation or discussion.

You can dislike schoen, Jones, or whoever and not feel the need to spam it in every thread which you have done constantly the past week.

Why don't you just ignore him? As long as he's here, he's entitled to his opinion.

I get all that. Seems to me that they don't want to see Barkley Jerseys at MetLife. He had a loyal fan base. I wonder how many will still wear it. I would guess that half the fans are done with him.

Quote from: brownelvis54 on March 14, 2024, 09:29:14 PMEVERY QB listed as #2 on any roster wants to push the starting QB and take his job. How on earth is this an indicator that Daniel Jones will be cut? If we do draft a QB, then he should sit and learn. Thats the best way to do it. Jones and Luck will have fair competition and the best man should start. I have no idea where you are getting your information from. If you know something I dont, please share.
Jones was supposed to be the starter. To create a QB competition, changes the affirmation that Schoen preached. Although it makes me wonder about Jones timetable to return. We really don't know their intentions of drafting a QB but almost everyone believes this is Jones last year. What do you think his chances are to stay another year?

Good point. With three QB's there was no continuity and they probably didn't have plays designed for him.

Why would he come here to compete for one season if they draft a QB? To prove to the league he can be a starter. Or to get the experience.

This is interesting.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on March 14, 2024, 09:19:29 PMCompletely insignificant signing. A body. Maybe he makes the team, maybe he doesn't. Won't have any impact on wins and loses if he does.
Cager didn't get a tender offer. Perhaps they want more blocking TE's. Still if Waller stays, who replaces him when he gets hurt.

Still hasn't made an impact in three years as a target.

My take - Bellinger had a real good rookie year...then we sign a playmaker Waller (and Bellinger is kinda lost)...then last season he bulls up big time and I'm all excited - and he seems to be rarely targeted. Maybe he can be special TE still?
I wonder why after Waller was injured that they didn't target Bellinger more. We were all excited after drafting him and he had a decent rookie season as you said. He's a two way TE and although he lacks the athletic ability of a top TE in the field, I thought he would become an important part of the Offense. Apparently bringing in Waller showed they don't see it that way.

Unless they need the Cap Space, I would let him decide. They can cut him anytime if his heart isn't in it.

I think we all forgot about Bellinger.

The Front Porch / Re: NJ DMV is beyond bad

I haven't had to inspect a car in many years. The Vette doesn't require inspections anymore as it's now a classic. I lease my vehicles. Prior to that, Paramus was always an easy station. As for other DMV needs, I stay away from Lodi. But with the Mobile units that come to town and renewing online now, it's much easier.

DMV employees are notoriously nasty. Must be nice having a job for life with a pension and benefits locked in and no accountability.

Quote from: Stringer Bell on March 14, 2024, 07:41:57 PMI don't get it. Petty how? 26 has always been Singletary's number, so it's not like he went out of his way to go after it.

Further, Saquon isn't even among the top 3 RBs in Giants history, so it's not like he's a legend of the franchise. He played for 6 years - great in 2 of them, good in 1, average in 2, hurt for 1. Not the type of career that warrants major rememberance.
The vast majority of the Jerseys at Met Life have been 26. If you don't get it, it's not my job to persuade you.

I think it looks petty. But, 80 passed hands too. It's a message that he doesn't really matter. I would have held it back a year.
