Trade down twice from 6 and collect picks...probably get a #1 for 2025 out of it.

More picks to build the roster, and ammo to move up in '25 to get that QB

Grey doesn't have enough speed so he'd better hit the weight room.

I just have to get this off my chest. I don't disagree with resisting the urge to over pay.

However I get the feeling that they are undervaluing this position so that no matter the QB (assuming a young player we're building around) without a solid run game, they're going to get killed!

The kids got a HOWITZER and more importantly, he's not afraid to use it!

His willingness and ability to read down field routes already make him an improvement over DJ.

MOST IMPORTANT: If he is truly coachable, he's exactly what Dabs wants.

QB in 2025.

Trade down a few times from 6, load up the roster while snagging an extra 1st for next years' draft...snag some comp picks...and you have all the ammo you need for a new QB in next years draft AFTER the team is mostly rebuilt.

I read an article covering Nick Saban's disdain for the NIL and it got me thinking.

We are increasingly dealing with movement in the NFL....now, by the time many of these players come out of college they have already moved around to 2-3 teams.

Will this adversely affect the next collective bargaining agreement?

How will this impact rookies coming into the league? Are future drafts threatened?

I am a bit old school and it's colored my belief system that the '80's and beginning of the '90's showcased the highest quality football of my lifetime (I'm a chipper 62 yrs young).

Therefore I believe that the quality of the game has already diminished. Will the NIL take the next step in the devolution?

What say you?

Quote from: Ed Vette on March 11, 2024, 07:24:20 PMThe outside containment is concerning as well as the total Run Defense.
He'll have better coaching here.

Wait Burns is only 26 and has plenty of tread on his tires.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on March 11, 2024, 07:12:59 PMHonestly I didn't even remember that it was you who made the Ekeler suggestion. So the answer to your question is no.

I state my frank opinions on whatever the subject is, regardless of who is involved in the dialogue. There is never any offense or "singling out" intended.

While we're talking about Ekeler, the fact that the Commanders signed him means very little to me. They've been a bottom three franchise overall for several decades. What is more telling to me is that a savvy offensive mind like Harbaugh didn't want to keep him, even at his now significantly reduced market value.
It's all good. Different strokes and all that.

Bro, do you just lay in wait for me to post so that you can crap on whatever I write?! LMAO

The Commanders just signed Ekeler, so you can jump on that one again too.

I'd actually like to see Leo come back now.

They're not going anywhere with their QB room as is. I doubt they're taking one high in this draft either.

So it's build up the roster and when all the pieces are in place, top it with a franchise QB.

What happened to their interest in Austin Ekeler? I'd much rather have him.

This team hasn't been/isn't ready for a talent like Barkley that's why they couldn't afford him.
Barry Sanders couldn't go to the Super Bowl with this team.

I'm not rooting for him to win in Philly, but I will forever respect what he battled through here.
