He's right.  As much as I don't want to admit it.  I think Daniel Jones could be our Alex Smith, if we play our cards right.

I'm old enough to remember when players wanting to show loyalty to the franchise that drafted them was a GOOD thing.      Seriously though, I don't see a downside to a player having love and loyalty for my favorite team and wanting to help them win a championship.  I'm surprised it's all that hard to understand.

Awesome at the end of that to see Curtis Jacobs, a PSU guy, is a Giants/Brandon Jacobs fan.  "Derrick Henry, before there was Derrick Henry".   

Yeah he sucks.  MVP season, #1 seed.  Lost to the burgeoning dynasty led by Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid in the AFC Championship. 

Campbell absolutely didn't blow it.  If anyone did, it was Josh Reynolds.

That's what I was hoping they'd do that night....it's also still possible Barkley could have lasted to #5, which makes not even picking up the phone all the more egregious.

I agree.  I said it at the time and will say it again- playing hardball with your best player, a team captain, a guy that has put every piece of work into the franchise that you've asked him to put...WILL have negative consequences in the locker room.  I'd even go so far as to say it cost the team wins this year.  You can believe that or not- that's fine.  But this stuff MATTERS to players- when a guy does everything right and the front office still doesn't pay him, it reverberates. 

And let's not forget- we are not talking about a huge percentage of the cap by any means at all- say it was 12 or 13 million a year for multiple years.  The cap hit is actually lower since it's spread out and the difference between the tag and a multi-year deal, cap wise last year, would have been minimal when looking at the entirety of the cap situation. 

I think this was 100% a misstep by Joe Schoen- for the CULTURE impact at such a minimal cost.  Kayvon is just saying what I guarantee other dudes in the locker room are thinking.  They want to play for a team that not only says they value your hard work and dedication but also backs that up with dollars and SECURITY.  I'm sure most won't like to hear that message, but that doesn't make it any less correct.

This is crazy to me.  Maybe he isn't the GOAT after all?  I mean, if he really was, would he even have to go through with these processes??  Shouldn't he have a bidding war on his hands?

We'd want a young up and coming and by all accounts brilliant front office man to leave for some measly third round comp picks?  Sorry, I can't get on board with that.  I hope we can hang on to him, if he's really as good as it's been reported.

I'm actually hoping now that he goes to a team that'll take advantage of what he has to offer and that he goes bananas.  He's a great player and teammate and he deserves better than what the Giants can give him.

Of course, that opens a GIANT hole at RB that will then need to be filled in the draft, but it is what it is.  The guy deserves a better fanbase and a fresh start.

I have no idea how Cris Collinsworth is that high.  Everyone I've ever talked to hates the guy.  Doesn't even matter if he has good insight- just his voice/reactions are so irritating.

Win games and all this nonsense magically disappears.  Pretty straightforward what he's gotta do next year.  Win games.

It's not as easy as some folks on here would have you believe.  Just grab a random RB in rounds 4-6 and you're golden....  not quite.
