If you find that dude, don't get cute. Draft your signal caller.  Many GMs look smart because they have a good signal caller in place and can then wheel-and-deal their picks to build their team.  However, the failures of the OL have to be analyzed.  Is it a lack of draft and FA talent?  Then that falls on Schoen and the front office.  Is it poor coaching and development?  Then that's Daboll and his crew.  Is it both?  Then the GM and HC need to be shown the door.  The Giants can pump more resources in to the OL, but it will continue to fail until they get to the core of its failures.

So good to hear about competent OL play.  It's been too long since that unit looks like they belong.  But it does beg the question "what can this offense do if the OL plays average to above average?"

It's just a little disheartening that Giants OL need 2 to 3 years to pop.  You take a look at other rookie linemen and they show their wares in their first season.  Neal is now playing for his career. I hate saying that in Year 3, but the film doesn't lie.  Hopefully, the new OL coach can't get him back to serviceable. And JMS needs to show why he was a highly rated C because right now, he looks soft and not ready for primetime.  Schoen's seat should be getting a tad bit warm.

I think they keep OG but lose Hartenstein.  He's an agile big who runs and protects the rim.  He played his way to a bigger contract somewhere else. Mitch protects the rim but he moves like a cruise ship docking into a port.  Lateral movement is in question and his health is a bigger question.  And the compensation they gave is the epitome of "F** them picks". If everyone stays healthy and Randle plays nice with the rest of the sandbox, I feel it is going to be NY vs Bos in the EC Finals.

I think the Patriots, Broncos, and Panthers should fight for that mantle.
