I'm getting high on the euphoria around here.  It is better than negitivism though.

They better dial up their A games for the Bengals. I think this game will be huge for this team. Bengals are desperate and if the Gmen can win, it will be BIG.

Quote from: Bob In PA on September 23, 2024, 02:45:20 PMRich: We're "way overdue" for a good performance (and a win) on a regular-season "special" game (Monday/Thursday game), not to mention being overdue for a victory over the Cowboys. If it happens, it is sure to be a close (or even overtime) nail-biter. If the Ravens couldn't blow them out, we sure can't. Bob

I think we kick them while they're down and Malik has his national spotlight game.

I think they may be vulnerable, but not to us. At this point they are still the better team. I'm hoping for a competitive game and coming away with the feeling that we are making strides and getting better.

Could Joe actually have done something right? Good thing idiot Mara didn't meddle?  DJ would have screwed this up. /sarcasm/

Quote from: MightyGiants on September 02, 2024, 07:08:11 AMHe should take a lot of heat.  His apology is crap.  That is piss poor journalism on his part, and he tries to turn the focus to Joe Schoen instead of his false reporting.  Pompei was just added to take anything he says with a huge grain of salt list.

I'm thinking these "false" stories happen a lot. And they remain out on the Internet to be found years into the future by AI engines.

Quote from: Dumpster Dan on September 01, 2024, 01:59:57 PMForgive me if I dont get the attention given to neal by so many

To me all he is doing is taking up a roster spot

Dumpster Dan

The Giants made a big investment in him by drafting him in the first round. He was supposed to be a can't miss prospect and the solution for right tackle for many years. They must have seen something in him to warrant their pick. They are now trying to figure out how to recoup anything of value from their investment. I'm sure it's extremely frustrating for them.

The Giants waived/injured tight end Tyree Jackson in a corresponding move. He was supposed to be tomorrow's emergency 3rd QB if Drew Lock can't serve as one. Jackson had a back issue and then appeared to aggravate it or sustain a new injury yesterday when he dove to catch a low Tommy DeVito pass during a jog thru. He threw his helmet and was in clear pain. It's a shame, he was having a good camp with the reserves

Bummer

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on August 15, 2024, 07:56:11 PMThe "value" in this context refers to both the price point of the asset at any moment in time but also the annual cash flow it generates. The former is increasing at an extremely rapid pace, as it has been for some time and will continue to for the foreseeable future, possibly at an even faster pace (in my opinion). The latter is massive, as we all know, and doesn't require further explanation.

There may be liens on the assets thereby reducing any cash flow benefits. That was the basis of my original statement. It is not simple determining "value" in this case and the numbers are likely just guesses for the most part.

Quote from: files58 on August 15, 2024, 04:59:44 PMThink about that for a moment or ten. Success can be measured in different ways. Despite the rhetoric, at $7.6 Billion(and growing) is winning on the field really that important to ownership and their partners. Whether they go 16-0 or 0-16 the overall value stays the same or increases. As fans our currency is tied to the W-L column. Not so with ownership. I feel the same way about the Yankees, who when I looked a couple of weeks ago were second to the Cowboys for overall sports franchises. Think about it despite Jones' saying "we're all in" and other similar BS they haven't won squat for some time.

What does the "value" mean at the end of the day? The owners aren't cashing in any time soon.

Deep breath. Let's at least wait until after the fifth game before putting him in the Hall of Fame.  :D

............but I do understand we haven't had much to get excited about in the last several years.
